Dianne's POV:

"Joe which is our gate again?" I questioned hopeful that Joe would know the answer, as I gathered up my things from underneath the table. Joe had our shared suitcase, meaning all I had to grab was my purse that I had carelessly left on the table and my bag from underneath it - wedged out the way of any passers by from within this little cafe we had found hidden in the depths of Heathrow terminal 5. I straightened my back after reaching under the table to get my things, flicking away the mass of red hair that had accumulated over my eyes, waiting for Joe to reply to my question, however as my eyes focused properly, and my brain kicked into the right gear, I found that I was now on my own, the only reply given to my question was that of the internal hum of the terminal. "Joe?" I questioned once again, a mild panic rushing over me as I found myself in a relatively unknown area, with my boy nowhere near my side. Wondering out of the cafe, I caught site of his yellow jumper, and the formidable movement of his hair as he rushed towards the large screens hanging from the high ceilings outside of duty free. Eventually catching up to him, still attempting to properly sort my stuff out, I stood next to him as he intently studied a large screen with what seemed like hundreds of different, codes, locations and times scattered across it, in what I could only describe as an organised mess.

"You know Joseph, sometimes it would be helpful if when we're in an airport, you would tell me when you're going to walk away from me." I belittled him, lecturing my boyfriend as if I was his mother.  Blatantly ignoring me, I felt his hand grab mine as he once again walked off in a rush, pulling me along with him. Rolling my eyes, and adjusting my pace so that I could keep up with what essentially was now Joe's light jog through the crowds of people, I decided that this was just one thing I was never going to be able to change about Joe. My boyfriend was perfect in every other way imaginable, but the moment that I find him either in an airport or train station, he instantly became slightly.... well.... VERY stressed, but I suppose that not everyone is perfect - he certainly isn't far off it, and if this is his only real downfall, then I am a very lucky girl indeed.

His imminent stress did not deter, until we reached our seats on the plane, throwing our bags in the overhead lockers, and putting on our seat belts. As Joe's clicked into place, he let out a sigh before looking over to me with a slightly confused look. "What?" I questioned, concerned about what he was thinking. "Did you ask me something earlier whilst I was looking for the gate number?" I couldn't help but laugh, rolling my eyes at the quirkiness of the man I love . Refusing to answer his question, I rested my head on his strong shoulder, smiling as I instantly felt his chin resting on the top of my head. "You do make me laugh sometimes Mr Sugg." I replied in an answer before closing my eyes, preparing myself for the flight ahead of us.

...

Narrator's POV:

"If you need anything throughout your stay just let us know and we'll be right over sir." The manager of the hotel beamed with pride at Joe as she left them to settle in the first of their three rooms - the sparkle in her eye evident of just how much giddy excitement she gained from welcoming people into her lavish establishment. "We will, thank you very much." Joe replied as he shook her awaiting hand, gratitude for the way he was being treated equally evident at this incredible opportunity he had been provided with. As the manager left, Joe turned around, walking over to the open balcony door to see the love of his life leaning up against the glass barrier. A perfect view of the crisp blue oceans contrasting Joe's view of her bright red hair that was being swept behind her due to the heavy breeze of the Greek island. Ever since Joe had met Dianne, he'd obviously noted how undeniably beautiful she was. Throughout Strictly, Joe often found himself gawking at her naturally good looks whenever she was dancing with the professionals in the spell bounding group performances, unable to help but keep his eyes firmly fixated on the way that Dianne would move and how mesmerising she looked whenever she danced. It was a habit that began week 2 and continued right the way to the final, a habit that Stacey soon picked up on and mocked him for, week on week. But as time moved on, and they found themselves together out of the training room, it was the alternative beauty that Joe saw that made Dianne so much more attractive to him. It was the way that she would laugh, the way that whenever her eyes met his that cute little dimple on her cheek deepened, the way that she would fall asleep in his arms that made her all the more attractive. But more importantly it was the way that she made him feel that Joe found to be her most attractive quality. His entire career had been pranks, and book signings and YouTube events with his mates, all of which the reoccurring joke of how Joe had never had a girlfriend, never had someone to share those things with, would crop up. So much of Joe's life had been by himself, so much of it spent with drunk nights out with the boys, and enough one night stands to fulfil his needs when he wanted to. But now all that had changed, and as he looked out at the figure who stood in front of him, Joe saw the one thing that had been missing from his life. Sure, he could get 10 million subscribers over night, and sure he could become seen as a national entertainer rather than just a young man in his room with a crappy old camera. But none of that joy, none of that pride would come close to the way that the woman in front of him could make him feel just by having her wake up with him. Not even the best career in the world, and all his dreams coming true would give him the joy that this girl could give him just by holding his hand and giving him a smile. And although it had taken 27 years of searching, Joe knew he had been able to find all that he would need for the rest of his life, and that satisfaction of knowing that no matter how many mistakes he might make, or how many times he might feel like he could have done better, knowing that she would always be there to hold his hand and be the one to help him through it, that satisfaction of finally feeling complete that Dianne gave him was what he found to be her most attractive quality.

With that in mind, Joe ventured forward out into the sunlight balcony,  walking up behind the girl of his dreams before resting his head on her shoulder, wrapping his arms around her torso before gently kissing her on the cheek. Joe felt his heart melt ever so slightly as she moved her hands off of the glass railing and move her hands onto his. They stood there in silence for a brief moment before Joe spoke up. "This place is unbelievable." His voice a quiet whisper so that only she could hear his words in their close proximity. Dianne paused for a moment before giving a half-heartened reply. "mhmm" She hummed, her eyes not leaving the sight of the gentle movement of the Mediterranean swell before them. Noting her silence, Joe hugged her tighter knowing all too well that something was bothering her. "Is everything okay?" Joe questioned despite knowing the answer. Dianne shuffled slightly in Joe's grip, clearing her throat before nodding. "Yeah... it's uh... it's... it's nothing I'm fine" Dianne replied, her voice choked and whispered. Joe knew that she was lying, it didn't take a genius to figure out that something was bothering her. "Dianne Buswell, both you and I know that when a girl says that they're fine, they really aren't. So what's up?" Joe now followed Dianne's eye line out to the sea, looking out at each breaking wave, causing white foam to cascade over the deep blue expanse before them. "You'll think I'm being stupid Joe, don't worry about it." She protested, not wanting to give away the one thing that was eating her up inside. "You're definitely not being stupid... Weird maybe... But never stupid." Joe replied, causing Dianne to laugh slightly. Dianne took in a deep breath, beginning to feel overwhelmed with the guilt she felt at how her childlike sadness could ruin this holiday that Joe had so kindly put together for the two of them. "It's... It's the sea." She began, swallowing sharply as she felt the lump in her throat as an onslaught of tears began to fill her eyes. "It's like the one at home."

Dianne was more that grateful for the way her life had turned out. She had a career she loved, she had a wonderful home in a wonderful city and not to mention the perfect boyfriend by her side. But despite all of that, Dianne always felt that something was missing. And that missing piece was that of her family. Dianne knew why she moved out of Australia, and she had absolutely no regrets. But soon after she moved half way across the world and set up her new life in London, Dianne soon learnt to miss the simple things in her somewhat overwhelming life. She hated the fact that she couldn't walk down the road and have a coffee with her mum. She hated that she couldn't help her dad with menial DIY jobs around the house like she used to when she was young. She hated that with every new picture of her niece and nephew that she saw, they looked like different people, hating the fact that she couldn't take Billy to football practice with her brother, and that she couldn't take Mia to dance practice knowing that ever since Mia could walk, she always said she wanted to be a dancer like Uncle Andrew and Auntie Dot.

Seeing the pain in her eyes, Joe spun her around in his arms, lifting her chin up so that her eyes were met with his. Placing his hand gently on her face, wiping away the single tear that fell from her eye with the soft pads of his thumb, Joe kissed her gently. "I know that you miss home. And as much as it kills me that I can't do anything to help, I know that wherever you are in the world, whether it be London, Australia or a hotel in Mykonos, your family are always proud of you, and I know for a fact that they hate not having you around, just as much as you hate not being around them. Now I know that I'm not family, but if it helps at all I am also always so proud of you, and I will always be here for when they aren't." Joe pulled Dianne into his chest, feeling his heart beat that little bit faster as she wrapped her arms around his body, holding him just as tightly as he held her. From within the cocoon of Joe's arms that Di had found herself in, she spoke into his chest, not yet wanting to leave his grasp. "I love you."

Joe couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face. The admission of Dianne's love for him bringing back those feelings of content satisfaction. Leaning down to gently press his lips onto the top of her head, Joe inhaled the familiar scent of the coconut shampoo she used this morning. A smell that had quickly been associated with that of serenity and relaxation in Joe's life. And much like he took comfort from that smell like he did this morning, Joe found himself find a perfect state of calmness, the beautiful Greek sunshine falling down on them and the feeling of Dianne in his arms creating a feeling he never wanted to forget. And so with one final sentence, Joe committed that very feeling to memory. "I love you too Di."

A/N Hey people, sorry for the long wait for this chapter. I know my scheduling has been a bit crazy these past couple of weeks, and i'm sorry about that. Also I know that I've changed the order of when things happened in real life, from into here. In actual time, this holiday would have been New York rather than Mykonos, but I just felt as if I could write more, better quality things about their holiday to Greece. So apologies for the un-authenticity of this. Either way I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I have been loving writing this and I'd love to know what you think. Thank you for reading Xx
