- A few months later -

Third person's POV

In the months that followed, Louisa and Alden raised their little girl. Felicity was getting older and was able to walk and talk slowly.

Because of this, playing with her was way easier. Auntie Cassandra did just that, and she loved it. She spent so much time with Felicity as she enjoyed having a child around. She knew she wanted children too, she had that desire.

Alden and Louisa officially gave Cassandra's room to Cassandra. It would be hers for as long as she wanted to. She was welcome at the castle as she was family.

Now that Felicity could walk, the butlers had to watch her too. For this reason, Chandler was put in as extra help. He loved spending time with Felicity. So, while his father and brother were busy, he'd watch her.

And James, well he had been busy. His days consisted of work, gardening, cooking, and serving Cassandra. Especially that last task was the task he spent the most time on.

After his hours, he'd go to Cassandra's room. In her room, they'd spent hours of talking and kissing and hugging.

And, despite them doing this for months, no one knew about their relationship...

Cassandra's POV

I pulled back to look at him. I sighed happily before caressing his face. "I love this," I looked into his loving eyes. "I love us."

James smiled as he welcomed my affection. It took him a while but slowly he's gotten used to it. "Me too, Your Highness."

I then shot him a look.

"I mean Cassandra," He chuckled a bit. "It's a habit."

I smiled then. "I hope that you'll break that habit as we've been together for quite some time now. I don't think addressing me like that is doing our relationship any good..."

He chuckled. "Probably not."

"But do you know what would help our relationship?" I asked as I leaned in closer to him, smirking.

He gulped. "N-no, what?"

"This." I crawled on top of him and rested my body onto his. I loved feeling all of him on me. I leaned in closer to him and kissed him deeply.

Like he usually did, James just laid back and accepted the affection. He didn't go further, he wouldn't take action himself, he wouldn't step up. But I didn't mind, it showed me he really was in this for me.

I pulled back a bit. I smiled then while caressing his face. And then I laid there, just admiring him. I could get lost in his beautiful, loving eyes.

And he'd smile back at me. He'd look me in the eyes while he gently caressed my waist and back. He'd make sure I'd know he wanted to keep me close yet not force himself onto me.

"I want to teach you how to cook." He suddenly said.

"W-what?" I pulled back a bit, surprised to hear his request. "Why? We both know I suck at it."

"Because you have never learned it," He smiled while he slowly sat up. "But I know that if we take our time, I can teach you how to cook."

I looked away a bit before shaking my head. "Why would I have to learn that?" I looked at him. "I know you mean well, but I've always got someone cook for me. There's no reason for me to learn how to cook."

He caressed my cheek then, and I welcomed that affection immediately. "Because I want to teach you, the perfect being that you are, something."

I blushed then. "Ok," I smiled at him. "Let's do this."

And so, the next day, we were in the kitchen. It was about 10 in the morning so the kitchen wasn't occupied just yet. Though, I figured soon people would come in to start preparations for lunch.

While James was taking everything we needed, I looked at the entrances to the kitchen.

James stopped and looked at me. "Are you expecting someone?"

I looked at him. "Well, aren't people going to come in for lunch?"

He chuckled before going back to collecting ingredients.

But that chuckle, I knew what that meant by now... "Don't tell me you..."

"We're making lunch," He turned to look at me. "I offered to."

I sighed.

"There," He looked at me. "Ready?"

I looked at all the ingredients and already knew this was going to be very hard. "I guess so..."

And thus James took his time to teach me. He'd put me in front of the workplace but stayed directly behind me to guide me. I'd cook the meat but he would have his arms wrapped around me to support me and to give feedback. And every time I did something good, he'd kiss me. Even when I failed, he'd kiss me.

"You did well," He smiled. "I knew you could do it."

I looked at the 4 plates in front of me, and I smiled proudly. They did look good, they did look tasty. I looked at him. "Thanks to you, I couldn't have done it without you."

He smiled more. "You can do anything, Cassandra." He then came to me and held my hands in his.

I smiled a bit but looked down. "Not anything, James," I sighed. "I have a lot to learn."

"Your willingness to learn shows how strong of a person you are," He said to which I looked back at him. "You can do anything, Cassandra." He repeated.

"You don't know that."

"I do," He looked me directly in the eyes. "I know you can do anything as you are the strongest, the bravest and the most perfect person I've met," He kissed my hands then. "And I love you."

When I heard that, my heart melted. He knew exactly what to say to make my heart fall for him more. "I love you too," And that marked the very first time we said those special words. "So very much." I then leaned in and kissed him.
