Reunion at a Glance

Daryl drives until they reach a river on the same route as the church. Pulling over, everyone exits the vehicle and run into the river, not caring much about their clothes getting wet. They scrub their hair, clothes, and the rest of their body, gagging and wanting to be sick at every inch of blood or guts coming off of them. When getting out, thier clothes seem good as new, thanks to the rushing  water that acted like a natural washing machine. As Carol checks the back of the car for supplies and Noah checks near by cars for things, Beth wrings her pony tail of water, presistent in making sure there's no walker parts left in her hair. The moon shines over them and looms in the water's reflection as Beth finally stands in the road over looking the rushing tide. But her glance is interupted as Daryl, who looks half sad and half greatful, comes into view.

Giving him a small smile, they slowly walk closer together to clear the gap. With only a foot between them, silence fills the air around them and they both feel as if they are looking into a mirror of what used to be. Neither of them feel like this is real. As if they were dreaming or in some book, but their eyes say more. Daryl, personally, feels as if life has come back to his body. His mind hasn't stopped thinking of this moment, of what they'd do or say. They just stand there staring into each other's blue eyes and feel themselves connecting back into a world they new some time ago.

Reaching up, he gently touches her face and she closes her eyes. Allowing her other senses to take in his warmth and his touch. Openning them back up, Daryl is slightly closer. Looking down deep into what feels like her soul, he takes in the moment and allows his courage to break through. Placing a hand on her waist, he tilts her face up to him, still having a hold on her cheek and gently kisses her lips. Their eyes close and both kinch slightly closer to each other, so they could hold a paper between them. Carol and Noah don't notice what's happening at the other end of the road, and simply keep looking for supplies.

When Daryl pulls back from the kiss, they both seem to let go of a breath, that they didnt' know was being held. Looking up at him, Beth never expected this to happen, especially not from Daryl. Without a word, Daryl walks passed Beth and goes back for his crossbow, and Carol soon makes her way to him.

"How was the reunion." She whipsers to him as she pulls a bag over her shoulder.

"Nice." He grumbles, but it wasn't really his normal grumble. No it was a bit sweeter. Noah walks over to Beth, who is retieing her wet shoes.

"He seems like a dick." Noah tries to say without sounding offensive. Beth looks up at him and then at Daryl.

"He's jus a lil rough around the edges." She smiles and they walk back over to Daryl and Carol, who are talking.

"We need ta head back toward the church. Get the group and go in the morning." Daryl says gruffly and then looks at Beth, who seems back to her old self, but different, and he knows how. She seems tougher and stronger, and prettier and sweeter, which drives him crazy to think about. "Come on."

As they make their way back, Beth falls to the back of the pack and Noah hands her the syrum. She takes it graciously and puts it in her pocket. Continuing on, the moon seems brighter than usual. It's loominecent glow reminds Beth of beauty and hope, something she almost lost in Clerburne. As they peek through the bushes, Daryl tells them to stop as they see Michone walking toward the rustle they made. She has her sword back and Daryl smiles at how natural she seems again. Walking out, he leaves the others in the brush.

"Daryl? Where's Carol?" She lowers her sword and Daryl seems beat, but still happy slightly.

"Come on out." He turns slighlty to he small group and Carol walks out first, then Noah, and lastly Beth. When Michone sees Beth, she drops her sword and hugs her tightly. Daryl just lets the moment take him and he tears up a bit, thinking of how much he wants to hold her and kiss her again. Soon the others come out from the commotion and when they see Beth and Noah, they hug a welcome them back. Beth just hugs them as much as she can and Daryl notices as he steps away from the group, that her eyes never leave his and her smile becomes bigger and bigger.
