In Town

Fighting, killing, and running. That's all the group does as they try to flee from the growing herd of walkers. They reach the building with the smoke and climb up to find, Maggie, Glenn, and Tara.

"Huh....there's too many of them. How the hell are we gonna get out of here." Sasha rests against the wall as the others look amongst each other.

"Michone...where's Rick?" Maggie asks and notices Carl crying pretty hard.

"He...he turned and attack Abraham and Rosita...They didn't make it..." Maggie sinks to the ground and Carl just hides his face into Michone. "Beth and Daryl?"

"They were coming to help, but we saw the herd push 'em out of the town...they had Judith with them." Tara sadly stares as he thinks of her two friends dying cause of Rick...Beth technically.

"Are they alive?" Carol asks.

"We don't know. They got to far out to where we couldn't see. Thousands of walkers were after them." Glenn commented as he sits by Maggie.

"What are we gonna do? We can't live on this roof forever." Carol says and then they look at the door that leads to the inside of the building. "We could try."

"It's four stories. There could be thousands of them in there." Michone holds Carl and looks at the group.

"Well, we really don't have any other choice. We can live in the hot sun all day and in the winter the freezing cold. At least if we clean it out and ever so often find food we can survive." Glenn says as he steps up. Everyone contemplates the mission at hand and find it the only choice. "Okay, Tyreese, Michone, Tara, Sasha, we'll go in and Maggie, Carl, an Carol, you'll stay on top of the door's roof for safety. I want us in a close formation, hitting strong and staying together."

"I should go in too." Carol steps forward and looks at them.

"No, I need you to stay with these two. You're better at health care and stronger in fighting if some get passed us." She doesn't argue. Helping the three onto the roof and letting them set up a shade barrier, Glenn readies to pull the door. When he does, nothing comes out. They step in with their flashlights on and their weapons ready. Climbing down the stairs they don't encounter anything. Getting to the first door, Glenn knocks and two walkers slam up against the door.

"We got some. Get ready." He shifts the door open slightly so he can stab the first in the head. The other steps forward and he gets that one two. Waiting a few seconds, nothing else comes so he opens the door and they step inside the fourth floor of what looks like an apartment building.

Picking up a bottle off the floor he throws it down the hallway and they wait. All of a sudden five walkers bolt out of door ways and charge the group. Tyreese swings the lead pipe and soon jams it in the head of a walker. Sasha pins one against the wall and stabs it. Michone takes out two with her katana as Glenn gets the last one with a machete. Going to a hallway light, Tara flicks it up and surprisingly the lights turn on. They turn off their flash lights and holster them. As they head into the first apartment, it looks very nice, modern, and semi clean. The shades are down and the lights still working along with the water. They check for any more walkers, but there are none, so they head to the next apartment.

They do the same to the next four apartments before they take a breath. they only encountered a few more walkers to make the whole floor safe to move around in. Going back up to the roof, Maggie, Carl, and Carol all aim at them, but don't shoot when they realize they aren't walkers.

"So what's the situation?" Maggie calls as she consoles Carl.

"Fourth floor is all cleaned up. Four big apartments for us to live in for the time being. Pretty well stocked. Just need to hall the walkers we did kill out before you three can come down." Glenn calls, and they all turn back down to the fourth floor. Bringing up the walkers one at a time, they throw them over the side of the building, why attracts more walkers until they realize it's just their own kind and walk away.
