His eyes started to fill with tears once again.
"I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't woken up."
"I love you, so much."
After a few minutes, Jungkook started to stir. He opened his eyes.
That's when Namjoon finally saw what he hadn't noticed previously.
The face of a broken man.
For a second Jungkook just stared at Namjoon. But then the tears came. Lots of them.
Namjoon held Jungkook, and cried with him.
They stayed like this for a while, Jungkook was letting out all the emotions that he'd been holding in for a long time.
It hurt Namjoon.
It hurt him so much to see the man he loved in this much pain.
After a few more minutes, Jungkook sat up and him and Namjoon sat next to each other on the bed, in silence.
Jungkook looked at him, teary eyed.
"Why did you save me?"
Namjoon took a deep breath.
"Why wouldn't we? You're our maknae kook, we love you."
Tears started to drip down Jungkook's face again. He was tired of being in this world. He wished the members had just left him to die.
"Hey, look at me." Namjoon said.
When Jungkook looked at Namjoon, he saw warmth in his eyes. Warmth, determination and.. love?
"We're going to do everything we can to help you. I'm going to. But it still hurts me to see how much you hate yourself. You're so much better than you think. You're talented, you're kind, you care about all of your hyungs."
"All the things you said in your note.. They weren't true. You're not a bad person, you're not ugly, you're nothing you say you are. You're one of the best people I've ever met. BTS is lucky to have you. Without you, we wouldn't be the same."
"ARMY loves you, we love you. I love you."
Jungkook stared at Namjoon in shock.
They both still had tears in their eyes, and when Jungkook looked into Namjoon's eyes he saw that he was genuine.
He felt safe with him.
He felt at home.
"I-I love you too."
And that was when Namjoon leant forward and pressed his soft lips against Jungkook's.
