"You can't keep on doing this!" I huffed. "I have a life outside of this, you know. I already have something planned during that time."

"You planned something without telling me?" he gasped, looking hurt.

I rolled my eyes.

Like you haven't done that before.

"Did you just roll your eyes at me?" he frowned. "What have I told you about doing that."

"Listen, you're not my parent," I sighed. "You can't tell me what to do. I'm a legal adult so I can make my own choices and do what I want when I want."

"And your point is?" he crossed his arms.

"Stop signing me up for things I don't want to do and stop bossing me around!" I shouted.

He slapped me.

"Don't you dare yell at me!" he ordered.

He actually slapped me.

"I'm your boyfriend, meaning I'm allowed to do so!" he muttered, slapping me again.

"Since when did I agree to that?" I asked. "I don't remember ever agreeing to that."

How dare he slap me and how dare he just declare that we're dating without my say!

He slapped me again.

How am I going to be able to get out of this one?

I sighed, looking in the mirror.

My stomach has gotten very big. The new doctor keeps reassuring me that it's normal because I'm carrying more than one baby in my stomach and I'm about seven months or so along.

I still feel like I'm fat, but that feeling might just be pregnancy hormones. Or so Shade says.

I may never know.

"You ready, love?" Shade murmured, coming up from behind and hugging me.

"Yeah, I guess," I shrugged. "I'm starting to go stir crazy staying in the house so much."

Shade hummed.

"This is just further proof that I wasn't made for a desk job or any job that makes me sit or stay in one place for too long." I sighed.

"That's understandable." Shade chuckled. "You have always been an active girl. The one that graduated from school early because she hated it so much."

"True," I murmured. "True."

I looked at the clock in the room.

"Shade," I hummed in question. "It's only twelve. We don't have to be at the hospital until two."

"I figured we could go get something to eat before we go." Shade replied.

"Hmm, that sounds nice," I mumbled. "Also sounds a bit suspicious too."

"So?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"So," I hummed. "Is there really no reason you wanted to go out tonight?"

"Not really." Shade shrugged. "But do we really need a reason to go out?"

"No," I replied. "I guess not."

"But," he drew out. "If you really want a reason, then you could say we're celebrating being unsuspended."

Oh, right. I forgot about that.

Effective tomorrow we're both allowed to go back to work, only for me to leave again in a few months.

"That sounds good." I giggled.

"Man," Shade sighed heavily, dropping his shoulders.

I hummed in question.

"What?" I asked. "What is it?"

"I love you." he grinned.

"I love you too." I smiled back softly.

Dork.

"Honestly," I sighed. "Coming here every week is starting to get kind of annoying."

Shade didn't reply as he helped me out of the chair.

"I mean," I pouted. "I know it's necessary and all to make sure they're fine and everything, but still, every week? Seriously? Once or twice every single week?"

"You'll survive." Shade chuckled.

"I know that." I huffed.

"How are the two of you doing?" the doctor asked, leading us to one of the rooms.

"Fine," Shade answered. "We're doing fine."

We walked into the room.

"Please lay down, ma'am." the doctor said.

Both the doctor and Shade helped me onto the medical bed.

"Since the last time I saw you have there been any changes?" the doctor wondered.

"Not really," I replied. "They have been a lot more active lately, though."

"That is to be expected." the doctor smiled politely.

She put the gel on my stomach and started looking at the ultrasound.

"Hmm... that's odd." the doctor whispered underneath her breath.

Odd? I don't like the sound of that.

"What's odd?" I asked. "Is there something wrong?"

"It's showing a third one." the doctor said.
