"You know what I just remembered?" I gasped.
Shade hummed in question.
"We never told Alec and Nick about the fact that we're actually having twins," I said.
"That, uh," Shade breathed out. "That is accurate, yes."
"Are we going to tell them, or are we going to shock them with the fact?" I asked.
"We should scare them and think it's triplets or quadruplets," he smirked deviously.
"That would indeed scare them." I nodded. "That could also possibly excite them after the initial fright."
"Yeah," he drew out. "But it would still scare them."
"True," I giggled. "It would."
Nick walked into the living room with Alec.
"What are the two of you talking about?" Nick asked.
"The little ones," he grinned, kissing my stomach.
"Little ones?" Alec repeated in confusion. "Plural?"
"Yep." I nodded. "Plural."
"Oh boy," Alec breathed out. "That means that we have to get multiples of everything."
Of course, that's what he thinks about.
"What are we looking for again?" I asked, looking around the store.
"Things for our children," Shade answered. "Obviously."
"Well, I know that." I sighed, rolling my eyes. "But what exactly are you looking for?"
"Hi." an employee at this baby store greeted us. "Can I help you two with anything?"
She has beautiful brown hair and warm, chocolate brown eyes.
"Hi, yes," Shade nodded. "We could use some help, ma'am."
Her name tag says that her name is Danielle.
"Of course," she smiled warmly. "What do the two of you need help with?"
"Well, we don't really know what to get." Shade laughed nervously.
Of course. He drags me to a store and he doesn't even know what we need.
"Or, for certain things, how much." I sighed.
"Ahh." Danielle hummed. "It's your first born? Congratulations."
"First two, technically. I'm having twins." I breathed out. "But thanks."
"Well, we can start with the cribs first and work from there," she said. Follow me."
She started walking towards the back of the store.
"Now do you want a combined crib or two separate cribs?" Danielle asked.
"Two separate ones." Shade answered immediately.
"Any particular color that you two want?" Danielle asked.
Shade nudged my arm, hinting at me to answer.
"How about mahogany?" I hummed. "A nice, simple wood."
"That was way too much shopping." I huffed, laying down on the couch.
"It was needed though." Shade chuckled. "We kind of need to be prepared for when they come."
He kneeled down in front of where I plopped down and brushed some hair out of my face.
"Yeah," I begrudgingly agreed. "It would be pretty bad to be even more unprepared for something this life-changing than we already have been, but still..."
"Come on," he murmured. "Let's get something to eat. You must be hungry."
"I'm not moving from this spot." I sighed. "Not for a few hours at least."
"Alright." Shade shrugged.
He gently picked me up bridal style causing me to yelp.
"What are you doing?" I exclaimed in shock, clinging to Shade.
"Well," he smirked. "You said you wouldn't move yourself, so I'm moving you for you."
"Dork," I muttered, resting my head on his shoulder.
"But I'm your dork," he responded.
