"Shade!" I squealed as he picked me up by my waist from behind and spun me around. "Put me down!"

He stopped spinning but kept me in his arms. Thanks to him being so much taller than me, my legs were unable to touch the ground.

I guess I'm stuck here until he puts me down.

"What's got you so excited?" I asked.

His arms feel very warm around my waist.

"I got accepted into the college that I applied to," he answered happily.

"That's great." I smiled.

We both stayed quiet for a little while.

"So, uh," I hummed. "Can you put me down now? Or not?"

"Nah." he chuckled.

A grunt passed through my lips as he squeezed me a little bit tighter for a few seconds.

"You're staying right here." he murmured deviously.

"Ugh." I groaned, slouching in his arms.

"Hey, Cookie," Charles Llyon, one of the other guys on the team, said, coming up to where I am sitting. "Can I ask you something?"

We're in the breakroom and I'm trying to eat something that Alec and Nick made me. They said it's supposed to be good for the baby, though.

"You just did," I smirked, taking another bite of the strange salad.

There was also a note with it telling me that I should contact my family members and tell them. I don't know why they didn't just tell me in person.

"Fine." he sighed, pulling out the chair next to me and sitting down in it. "Can I ask you two more questions, then?"

"Fine," I smiled. "You have one more question you can ask me."

"Is everything alright with you?" he asked. "You've been acting a little bit differently."

I wonder why I've been acting so differently. It's not like I'm pregnant or anything.

Not that he knows, though.

"Yeah," I nodded. "Everything is fine with me."

He was about to say something else, but I cut him off.

"I promise," I breathed out. "Everything is just fine. I'd appreciate it if you could just leave it at that for now."

"Shade?" I hummed in question. "What are you doing here?"

"To pick the love of my life up." he grinned.

Why is he here to pick me up? Am I missing something here?

"Ahh." I mussed. "Who's the lucky girl?"

Oh, right. We have a doctors appointment today. I completely forgot about that. I thought that wasn't until 4, it's only 2 right now.

"A red-haired, green-eyed beauty." he smiled, kissing my lips tenderly. "She's so beautiful, smart, and talented that for quite some time I believed that she was from another world."

"She sounds very special." I giggled.

"That she is," he murmured. "That she is."

"Hey, Cookie," Marino greeted.

"Hey, what up?" I replied.

"Could you come with me to the break room real quick?" he asked.

"Umm, sure." I shrugged. "Why?"

Both of them tried to help me stand up, but I whacked their hands away.

"I'm not so pregnant that I can't stand up from my chair on my own give it a few more months." I huffed. "Let's just go."

        That's just great.

This is just absolutely wonderful.

"So this is where everyone went," I mumbled. "I thought that it seemed less busy out there than usual."

Another surprise party.

Why?

"What is this one for?" I asked, looking at everyone in the room.

"The little one," Shade whispered in my ear, placing his hand on my growing stomach. "Your partner and your sergeant contacted me about helping set this up."

Alec and Nick walked in, along with Tiffany.

"Somehow," I hummed. "I doubt it was them who contacted you about planning this."

"You know me too well." he chuckled.

"Well, we have known each other since elementary," I said, rolling my eyes. "I think that's a long enough time to get to know someone."

I guess everyone knows about the pregnancy now.
