"This is so cool!" Nick gasped, gawking at an old hut.

I laughed.

"He's way more into this than I expected he would be." Alec mused.

"Yeah." Shade agreed. "I thought he would be bored ten minutes into it."

"And here we have a statue of whom we believe to be what our ancestors saw as our founder." the tour guide said through the microphone.

She was gesturing to a statue of a weird looking creature. It almost seems like it has two heads.

"To this day we have yet to figure out what they are exactly," she informed. "We believe that they were conjoined twins, but we're not sure. There's no scientific proof to that theory, though."

Conjoined twins? That's really neat.

Living in a harsh environment like this, and with how high the death rate of conjoined twins are, it's really cool that they were able to survive long enough to be the founder of civilization. That's just so cool.

"Man." Nick sighed. "Imagine being immortalized forever like this."

"That would be kind of scary." I shuddered playfully. "What in the world would you be immortalized for? Idiocracy, or something like that?"

"No." he muttered, looking away.

"I think my zipper is stuck." I murmured, trying to take my large winter coat off.

The zipper won't move.

"Here, let me try." Shade chuckled softly, sliding his own jacket off before coming over to me.

His left hand couped my lower back and his other hand grabbed the zipper and moved it down.

How?

"What?" I uttered, looking at the zipper in confusion. "But it wouldn't move for me..."

"What can I say," he shrugged with a smirk, helping me take the heavy jacket off. "I just have the magic touch."

It fell to the floor.

"Oh, yeah?" I hummed, leaning against him.

"Yup," he answered, hugging me close to him.

"How interesting." I giggled.

I pulled his head towards me and pressed my lips against his.

Before anything could go any further, there was a knock on the door.

"Hey, we're gonna warm the stew up now, and get everything ready for dinner," Nick called from the other side of the door. "Since you guys made it."

"Alright." Shade answered, his face still very close to mine.

"I guess we should, uh, finish changing," I whispered. "Huh?"

"Yeah," he murmured. "I guess we should."

Shade kissed me one more time before letting me go.

"That tour was super cool!" Nick fawned.

"I thought that it was interesting how it was founded by conjoined twins." I nodded. "Normally they don't even last the first day. Also, during the time period that they said it was founded around, they would have thought that conjoined twins were demons or something and killed them when they were born. So it's really cool that, that was able to happen."

"Alright, history nerd." Alec rolled his eyes, taking another spoonful of the stew.

I stuck my tongue at him in response.

"You two," Shade sighed. "Always with the banter."

"Deal with it." I giggled, sticking my tongue at him too and winking at him as well.

"Alright." he chuckled, standing up and taking my empty bowl along with his.

"Thank you." I smiled as he put them in the sink.

"Of course." he nodded.
