I laugh as Tessa turns it up. She can be so weird sometimes, but I'm used to it.
"So, how was Caleb?" She asks after the song ends.
I smile. "He's doing good. I think something might be up between him and Lacy though."
"Oh really?" She says, giving me a side smile.
"Yeah, really. So who should I drop off first?" I ask
"Um, Emma, who do you think?" Tessa says, rolling her eyes.
"You?" I ask innocently.
"No. Peter. It's my car!"
"Speaking of cars, how'd you get this one?" Peter asks
"Umm... It's kind of a long story." Tessa says. She's lying through her teeth, but she's never been good at it.
"She won it in a raffle," I say calmly.
"Oh wow, that's so cool. I wish I could get a car this nice by just winning a raffle!" He looked at her, amazed.
"Yeah, but it kinda sucks because she doesn't even drive it!" I say accusingly.
"Emma, I told you I'm not interested in learning to drive!"
"Whatever," I say rolling my eyes. I hear Peter laughing in the back. "Hey! Not funny!"
"It kind of is." He says. I see Tessa laughing.
"Wait, where do you live Peter?" I ask, realizing I had never learned. I should probably figure this out before tonight.
"Oh um...Forest Hills."
"Okay, Forest Hills, here we come!" I say as I turn down Avenue C.
