What just happened? I have never seen Tessa stand up for herself like that.
I'm still getting pulled along by Tessa. I don't resist. She is squeezing my hand so hard I feel like I'm losing circulation.
Soon she's pulled me onto the subway and I have no idea where we are going. I knew I needed to be cautious with what I said. If I said anything remotely insensitive she might blow up. As we sat there I could feel myself dozing off. I hadn't realized how tired I was, and soon, I lean my head back and fall asleep.
