I watch as they drive away waving. I just got a ride home from two girls. Both of whom I have zero chance with. Wow.
I walk inside, only to see Aunt May waiting for me.
"So, did you grab the milk?"
"Yeah, and it was on sale, too."
"Nice. So, how'd you get home? The bus showed up thirty minutes ago. I was worried."
"Sorry, May. Some girls from class gave me a ride."
"Cute girls?"
"May, one has a boyfriend."
"Only one?"
"MAY."
"Sorry. How do you know these girls?"
"One is coming over tonight to work on a chemistry project."
"A project, huh?" She says slyly. "Should I run to the store or..." It takes me a minute to understand what she's saying.
"Eww, no! She doesn't even like me!"
"Sure... she's probably playing hard to get."
"No... just no..." I walk into my room closing the door. Phew... Hero time! I think as I slip on my spider-man suit. I check the time. 6:30. I'll be fine. I think as I swing out the window. As I swing down the block, I see May walking towards the pharmacy. I roll my eyes. I can't believe she still doesn't get it.
My spidey senses start tingling and I look down and see a young woman. She's yelling at some men. I swing over and see that it's Emma. "Hey! Let go!" she says quickly trying to pull herself out of the man's grip. I could smell the reek of beer from where I was. Oh, that's not good.
"Oh come on, we just want to talk." He says creepily.
"Stop! Let me go now! I don't want to talk to you!" She yells, but the man keeps pulling her into the ally.
"Wow guys, that is no way to treat a lady," I say, landing behind them. Emma turns and sees me. She nods angrily. "Yeah, listen to the spider boy person," she says. I can't help smiling at her using the name spider boy. She sounds like Mr. Stark. I think.
"Get lost." the man threatens.
"You know, I would, but, you're not being very nice," I say.
"I'm serious, this is none of your business."
"Well, actually, it is." I shoot a web at him, trapping his free hand to the wall. I look to the other men, I can see the fear written on their faces. Emma pulls free from the man's grip.
"Thanks. See you around." She says, saluting at me and quickly running the other way.
"Um, yeah, see you," I call back. Then after a moment, I turn to the men. "Just saying, I don't think being forceful is the best way to get a woman to like you," I say sarcastically as I swing up to the top of a building to go to help out some more. I still got time. I think.
Sorry, it's been so long since we've updated. We've both been sick and had a lot of school work to do. Hope you like this next chapter!
