Oh god oh god oh god, stay calm (y/n) you can do this. For Toby, you have to do it for Toby. Despite everything you'd been through so far, this was certainly the most bizarre experience of your life. Stood before you were around eight of the strangest people you'd ever laid eyes on. Well 'people' wasn't technically the correct word in your opinion. From the information Toby had previously given you, you knew that it wasn't a great idea to talk to any of these 'people' until they spoke to you. So, with that fact in mind, you stood quietly behind Toby, lightly gripping his sleeve.
Toby seemed to take notice of this as he shot you a comforting glance before clearing his throat. "E-everyone, t-t-this is (y/n) a-and as o-of t-today she'll be l-living h-h-here with us. Be nice or else." The last part of Toby's speech took you completely by surprise. Not only did he not stutter, but he sounded too threatening, especially for someone as kind as he is. Your grind tightened on his sleeve, which he immediately noticed. He could always tell when you were nervous and knew exactly how to comfort you. Heat suddenly rushed to your face as you felt Toby gently lace his fingers with your own. Every so often, his thumb would stroke the back of your hand, sending goosebumps throughout your body.
At last, you found your courage. "Hello everyone, it's nice to meet you all...sorry for being a bit of an inconvenience but I don't really have anywhere else to stay so..." you trailed off at the end, not wanting to resurrect any painful memories. Toby gave your hand a gentle squeeze as the silence continued. Well that was until a small, blonde boy with red and black eyes spoke up. "Well, since no ones saying anything, guess I'll go first. My names Ben, formally known as 'BEN drowned, but you can call me whatever you like." 'Ben' sneered at you, eyeing you up and down. Toby's grip on your hand instinctively tightened as he saw how uncomfortable you had become. "B-back off Ben, s-she won't b-b-be int-terested in a s-stupid Zelda rip-off." Toby growled, glaring at the elf like boy. Ben smirked before raising his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright calm down Ticci Toby, I'll stay away from your woman...well, for now anyway." He chuckled, beginning to walk last us and towards the staircase. He stopped beside you and smirked. "See you later hotness. If you need some evening entertainment, my doors the third on the right." And with that, and one final wink, he was gone. You cringed at the entire interaction before turning back to the rest of the group.
"I'm Jeff! But we've already met remember? He he he." A boy with deathly pale skin and a permanent smile excitedly joined in on the conversation. You tried your best to look him in the eyes but they were just so...haunting. "How could I forget." You mumbled, trying your best to stay composed. I said I'd do this for Toby, but it's all a little too much. You thought, eyes darting to each unique individual. I'll never fit in here. You slowly began to slip out of Toby's grip but he stopped you, taking both your hands in his and staring into your eyes. It was so easy to get lost in his deep chocolatey brown eyes, you were completely mesmerised.
"I-if this is t-too much for y-you we c-can go, you k-know I-I'll always stay b-b-by your s-side, no m-matter w-where you go." Toby whispered to you, his voice was smooth as butter and sent shivers down your spine. In a good way of course. You thought for a moment before slowly nodded your head, ever so slightly to avoids drawing to much attention. "If that's okay with you, sorry it's just too much for me at the moment." You breathed out, a little embarrassed at how week you were being. But to be honest, after all you'd been through, who could blame you. Toby smiled down at you in understanding, before leading you away to the staircase.
"No ones going anywhere." A deep voice suddenly boomed out from behind you. You both whipped around in surprise, only to be met with the literal blank face of Slenderman. Toby frowned slightly at his sudden appearance. "C-come o-on Slendy, s-shes been through e-enough t-today." He shakily spoke out, keeping his voice low in fear of annoying the strange creature. Slenderman hummed slightly, stroking his pale chin with his slender hand. "I guess you're right, but still, (y/n)," he began, leaning closer to your slightly trembling form. "Everyone who lives in this mansion plays a specific part working for me. I'll give you three days to get settled and the you'll star work. Understand?" You nodded vigorously at his words, mildly intimidated by his tine of voice.
"Yes I understand. But, sorry for asking...what kind of work will I be doing?" You asked completely oblivious. You felt Toby shuffle awkwardly beside you as he uncomfortably rubbed the back of his neck. "(Y-y/n) y-you don't h-have to-" Slenderman raised his hand, silencing Toby immediately. He chuckled darkly, standing back up to his full height. "Tell me (y/n)...what are your favourite type of weapons."
"...WHAT?!"
