The Videos Part 2

And I'm back! Sooooo fair warning. What you are about to read will probably hurt your heart, but here it is anyway.

"Peter? You okay?" Ned asks. Because they were sharing the hotel room for the trip, he had woken to the sound of his best friend crying. He could see the blue light shining in Peter's glasses, which Ned had already figured were Stark tech.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine." The teen responds quietly. Ned knows that when Peter says the words 'I'm fine', that he's upset or hurt in some way. But he also knew that Peter wasn't going to talk to him about it. The only two people that could get Peter to open up were his aunt May and Tony Stark, and neither of them were here.

"Are you sure?" Ned asks, already knowing Peter's answer.

"Yeah man, I'm sure. Just go back to sleep."

Resigning to the fact that Peter isn't going to say much more Ned closes his eyes and tries to sleep, wishing he could help. But the one person Peter needed was gone, and he couldn't do anything to fix it...

Peter had been sitting in the dark, Tony's face on the screen of his glasses for the last half-hour. Tears were streaming down his face from the video he had just watched. He hadn't built up the strength to watch another until now.

"E.D.I.T.H? Can you show me the next one?" Peter asks, wiping his tears. The next video appears on the screen and begins to play.

"Hey Peter, It's me. Of course it's me, what am I saying?" Tony sighs, holding his head in his hands.

"It's been a month since Titan. I decided to make these videos, to keep you updated when...if, I can ever get you back. Pepper thinks it's a good idea, says it keeps you close or whatever."

Tony smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes. He looks broken.

"We have new blood on the team. Her name is Carol Danvers. I think you'd like her." Tony laughs as his eyes focus on the distance, as if imagining the entire scene.

"You'd follow her around like a lost puppy. They call her captain Marvel. Maybe you can meet her one day."

Peter's chest begins to hurt more than it already was. He's already met Carol. He met her at the funeral...

"But anyway." Tony's voice continues as his eyes focus back on the camera. "I should probably go. After all that happened Pepper is constantly making sure I'm not straining myself too much. I'm not quite at 100 percent, but I might get there. One day. Bye Pete. I love you."

Peter sits and waits for the next Video, E.D.I.T.H now playing them without him having to ask. This time, when Tony appears on the screen, he seems a little less tired.

"Hey Peter. It's been two months. I'm healing, slowly. But my main focus during this video is to tell you the Big News. Pepper's pregnant. You're going to be a brother!" Tony let's out a small laugh. "It's a girl. I can only imagine your reaction if I could tell you this in person."

"I'm going to make sure she knows all about you kid. And how much her big brother would've loved her. And it's true. I'm sure the two of you would've caused all kinds of trouble. There would never be a moment of peace when you two were together...and I would've loved that."
