HER POV

"You've seen their household?" Gab asked her as he tried to put his ball to the hole on that lap. He's on his shades again but she still on paranoia as she felt those intimidating eyes piercing through that glass

She bobbed her head a little as her eyes tried to follow that small white ball, "Yes, their living in the Northern Hills. It's a big house. They got two kids actually"

He stopped from measuring the ball and looked at her, "Is she happy?" He cleared his throat, "What I meant is that, it's uncanny. Robert marrying a Thomas. It might be arranged"

She thought about it. Roberts are billionaires, check. Thomas not far behind that rich list, check. But how Christine looked at her husband and vice versa? "She's in that bright place. Luke seems making her happy. Giving her that house that she likes on a hill as a wedding gift"

Gab went close to her and she was surprised about that quick move

"We need to kiss," he said looming down.

"Wha…." her question was cut by that lips diving down at her with his hands on her nape. It's not an Earth shattering kiss like what she do on movies, it's like a teeny bopper thing where the lips connected to another lips. Skin to skin. But she still shut her eyes to feel it until there's a soft breeze peck on it meaning, he already pulled back

"I saw a flickering light in a distant. It's taking our picture," he whispered after that. Now she understand the reason.

She coughed to hide her blush, "Can we go under the shade? It's kinda hot, I'm melting." That's her knees actually

"Can I ask something?" she asked when they sat under a shade of a tree

"About my family?"

"Well, ahm, yes?" she's surprised that the guy already knew whatever in her mind.

"They're not supporting me in my senatorial seat. They felt wounded. I defeated Michael Junior in congressional seat," Gab replied directly as he played his golf club, didn't even spend a glimpse towards her.

"Your father didn't help to settle that problem between you?"

He took off that shades and tried to clean it with the edge of his golf shirt as he opened his mouth to reply, "It's given. Michael Junior is the favorite son. I'm always not in the picture anyways"

"Why politics then? You have business too," Patty asked. She was curious about the other secretive family. The Whites have utility corps and she can't believe it can be taking care of only one, which is their second brother

"My father wants Ralph to take the helm, with the help of Angela of course," he said pertaining to their second brother and the fourth White child, the only girl

"But you have shares in the company right?"

He nodded once and made a strong exhalation, "Yes, I'm still Michael White Sr.'s son after all. He can't manipulate that common rights apparently. I also got position in the boardroom. May I know the reason of you asking about it?"

"Just curious," she answered along with a shrug. "So why politics? Not in business. I mean, is it really your dream to be in politics?" she asked again softly. She doesn't know where did those initial strength to ask although sh needs to know the guy she's going to marry even if it's for only two years.

A soft wind blew a little of his hair and it also brought softness on his face. He is freaking handsome! She mentally faced palm herself. Oh no Patty what are you thinking!

"Our patriarch decides for all of us," that answer snapped her back from self chastisement. "I'm not on board of it at first, but I learned to love it. Making laws to protect people, specially the minor groups, the unrepresented ones."
