"Why am I not allowed? I'm JQT's friend," she wailed that Monday morning on Crown's corporate building receptionist. Days after Tin's party

The girl smiled apologetically, "Sorry Ms. James but her secretary said it's business hours"

"I've been here so many times. Listen, I'll call J and let her talk to you about it," she insisted. She leaned on the table more to be near to the stubborn receptionist and hushed, "I really really need to talk to Mrs. Thomas. As in really really"

"Ms. James, I'm sorry but I can't just accept a command on some girl on the phone," the girl politely said

"You don't know your boss' number?" She asked that while her phone was on her right ears. She needed to call Jb

"Only the secretary got that access," the girl replied smiling politely then took again another phone call from one of three phones on her desk.

"Damn, why J doesn't pick up," she said to herself with her right foot tapping the floor

The receptionist cleared her throat that she snapped back from another mind marathon.

"Ms. James, the secretary said JQT is ready for you. You can come up," the girl suddenly changed her stance. "You know her floor?"

Damn. She stand on that lobby for half an hour with her big sunglasses and ripped jeans just to wait for the authoritative queen to invite her. Anyway, it's her fault, she arrived unannounced and maybe the girl is in some kind of meeting being the next president of the company.

She walked on the tenth floor just to see Carl walking on the hallway. She frowned. Carl is not a client, why did she needs to wait for half hour.… Oh shoot. Judging from wide smile of Carl as he walked towards her, something adulterated thing happened on that room where he came from.

"Patty," he greeted when they met on the elevator front. He put his hands on his waist smirking while doing that, overshadowing her in the process.

She nodded and smiled sarcastically, "Carl, it's look like J made your day"

"Yeah, always," he nodded. "Anyhow, I'm going. Have a nice day," Carl said as the elevator pinged again

"Don't tell me something happened on your desk earlier that's why you don't want to send me in earlier?" she asked the queen while she stand in front of the big desk in an arm's length

Jb looked at her with unreadable face, "Of course, I study here and do notes." The girl was reading something on her computer while tapping her fingers. It stopped and she side looked at her, "Waiting for me to invite you to sit?"

"I don't want to come near that chair. You might've did something there with Carl and there might be some bodily fluids left behind," she stated

Jb sighed and leaned her back on her chair, "Nothing happened on my desk."

"Oh really"

"On that couch that is," Jb shared pointing on a black three seater couch opposite the desk

"Oh shoot, I told you don't tell me!" she snapped and kicked the carpeted floor. How the heck did they fit on that small couch?

"I told you so that you may sit now. I hate looking up too much and I have a lot of things to do," Jb reasoned as Patty decided to lean her back on the wall beside the desk. "And oh, something happened on that wall too," the woman pointed that wall behind her that she jumped far from it. Jb lifted her brow impassively, "Why are you here? It's not a hang out place nor the autograph signing location."

She finally sat on one of the visitor's chair, "How about if Tin comes here, huh!"

"Tin's not here, I won a big wastewater management contract at South. She's there to finalize things. Luke accompanied her since he doesn't have GPS to track his wife anymore. Now we can call him Leech Luke," Jb shared and leaned again towards her screen
