Chapter 25

"Alizabeth! Alizabeth! Open the door!" Karen's voice loudly, banged my door.

"No~~" I kept on crying without listening to what she said.

"Alizabeth! C'mon open the door! Tell us what happened. We can help you. We are one family." her voice made me feel so warm but it wasn't anything like Alex's parents did to me.

I opened the door and hugged her immediately. "I wanna go home." I sobbed and she wiped off my tears.

She pat my head. Lightly. "Beth! And about your parents?" that question hit me so hard. But I didn't feel like it anyway. I've been through this life without them since I was born.

"I-uh-I...." I cried more because Kris is more likely the one I'm only with and he's so meaningful to me.

"Calm and tell me, okay?" I pulled me inside and sat on the sofa, still hugging me.

"Well.." I stopped crying. "I'm an orphan. My parents left me at the orphanage since I was born. Kris Lucas my only brother, well not sibling. He inherits houses and lands from his parents, they gave it to the orphanage's manager for him. Well, I got nothing only name and when we grow up we live together. We're like sister and brother already. Then Alex my best friend since I was in kindergarten got me to his home with Kris and his parents love us so much. They take care of us like there own children even we can call more than their Alex." I started to smile when I'm talking about them and everything seem bright after talking about them. "They're like my family already." I smiled and hugged her once again. "No one can ever replace them in my heart" but Kris might. I didn't say that part because he's not feeling to me like he did before.

"Beth! It's okay. You can go home if you want."

"I can't. I couldn't. Well, I'll visit them one day but right now, well, okay sorry Karen. I wanna find some works to do. I'm okay now." I stood up and smiled.

"Take care! We're here for you." She smiled and went out of my sight.

When she was gone I kept on crying sobbing in my knees and fell asleep on the carpet next to the cushion.

[Phone Ringing......] I picked it up without opening my eyes.

"What~~" I asked with my still sleepy voice.

"Still not waking up?" I still didn't recognize who's on the other end.

"What? It's morning already?" I stood up straight opening my eyes wide at the clock, hanging over the shelf.

"Ye~~~~~"

"Oh My Gawd! This is crazy. Well, I'm sorry gotta calm you later. Okay?" without waiting for the answer I turned off the call an got straight into my bathroom.

No~~~~

It's not happening.

I screamed looking through the mirror.

The worst day of my life. I missed my morning exercise and my eyes were all swollen up. Well I couldn't get to go downstairs or anything at least my face get better.

Accidentally, before that plan could work a knock came on the door.

"Alizabeth!!"

"Yes ma'am!" I replied loudly.

"Are you okay?"

"Em! Yeah, of course I'm okay." I tried to laughed.

"Tell me if you're not well." she smiled and I herd her footsteps being carried away from my front door's door.

'Karen! You're freaking me out.' I gasped and pulled myself down directly onto the carpet.

Gawd! It's 8 in the morning already and I'm still in the bedroom. My worst nightmare ever. My dear, Beth, you're ruined.

Again, this time is Darren.

"Aren't you coming down to eat it's 9:47 am already?"

It's scary when it comes to men's question.

"Well, I'm sorry but I'm gonna eat..." No not that. "Uhm~~ I'll go for the next 3 minutes, okay?" I told him. He said yes. I got to put water over my eyes so that it could get a lot more better.

Great! It did work.

I had toasted breads plus eggs and a glass of milk. Though, there was no Kay's present.

It was weird how he isn't home when he never did. Especially, in the morning like this. I started to feel not well about his missing. Though, I did ask the Anthony nothing at all.
