Chapter Three

Ariel
I cleaned the unshed tears which started to fall as I ran away from the market. I hated the fact that I had easily given myself to someone that wasn't Uriel. Yes even though it was forced it wasn't an excuse that I had left myself open to be taken by a pirate.

I grabbed Joseph who was waiting for me by the tailor's side and pulled us quickly away. I was glad that my eyes weren't red unless Joseph would be worried and disturb my private quarters.

I got home after dropping Joseph with his elder brother Lloyd and then immediately I played the music box to calm myself down.

When I was calm enough, I then closed it when I heard a knock on my door. I thought it would be Zeke but I paused when I opened it to see Neon.

Neon was Joseph's uncle who was thirty years old. He was tall though not as tall as Zeke but he was tall enough above 6'2. I looked up at him as he flashed me a smile which I gave a polite smile.

Neon had brown hair, green eyes with flecks of hazel which were just like Joseph and his dad's eyes. He had abs and an amazing v line and a sexy body that made most of the females in town desire him. He was handsome not to go unnoticed and known as the most handsome in town but if people saw Zeke, they would bring him to number two.

"Hey Ariel. Can I come in?" He asked with his deep voice that made this earth shake. I wasn't attracted to him but I wouldn't deny his qualities.

"Come in." I said gently before he walked in and I closed the door. "I'll get us some tea." I said before I walked into the kitchen and made tea.

I dropped the tea and a simple meal which had beef since I decided to add some flesh to my skinny nature.

"Thank you." He said before he took the spoon to eat.

Neon started to eat the meal happily as I sat beside him and then I looked at my meal before I touched my lips remembering about the kiss with Zeke and when I had a meal with him. I shamelessly blushed before I heard Neon cough.

"Sorry but am I intruding?" He asked before I looked at him and quickly shook my head.

"N-no. I was just... Thinking." I said before I picked up my spoon and started eating.

When we were done, Neon helped me out which I was so thankful for because I was really distracted and off my usual way.

"Are you okay?" Neon asked before I looked at him in surprise.

"Why do you ask?" I responded with a question.

"Well Joseph said that you were crying when you got back from the market so I was worried about you." He responded before I gave him a sincere smile.

"Thank you but it was a misunderstanding." I said kindly as I dropped the clean dishes in a bowl.

"Wanna talk about it?"

"I'd rather not." I responded before Neon held my hand and placed his hand on my cheek.

"If you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm always here." He said with a soft expression and his expression scared me because I knew exactly what it meant.

I released his hands from mine before I looked away. "That won't be necessary." I said and tried to walk away but he hugged me from behind.

"Ariel I know that you noticed how I feel for you and I'm not going to deny that I've been in love with you since I first saw you. I don't know much about your past but I wish you would free yourself from those shackles. I want to help you." He said softly as I felt my heart beating very fast.

No. I don't want anyone to know about my past and I don't want Uriel to be just a memory that I could step on our love and just get over him. I don't want to love someone and then lose the person afterwards.

I got Neon to leave me before I walked out of the house with him following behind me. I paused when I felt Neon's hand on my wrist. I turned and looked at him as he gave me a patient look.

He gently pulled me to his chest and hugged me before he gave me a chaste kiss on my forehead.

"I'll wait for you till your ready. Just don't take forever." Neon said as he smiled at me.

I was about to say something when I heard my name and turned to see Zeke looking at me before he looked at Neon then stared at how close we were which would make people think we were being intimate.

"Z-Zeke." I stammered as I left the warmth of Neon's hand. "It's not as it looks like." I tried to convince him after smelling the thick anger emitting from him.

Zeke grabbed Neon by the collar before he punched him and then Neon fell to the ground before Zeke walked up to me and gripped my hand.

"Stay away from him, his mine! The next you touch him, I'll make what I did to Royce child's play!" He threatened Neon who cleaned the tiny blood on his lips before he chuckled and looked at Zeke who gripped me possessively.

"Ariel belongs to no one. I haven't seen you before so how can he be yours? Your just insecure." Neon said crudely as Zeke growled before he dragged me inside my own house like he owned it.

He pushed me on a couch before he gripped my collar with one hand as I tried to get his hard grip off me.

"What the hell were you doing with him?!" He asked as he stared into my eyes.

I looked back into his deep black eyes which were terrifying when he was angry as I got his hand off my collar.

"It was a misunderstanding, plus I don't need to explain to you!" I shouted at him before he gave me a pissed look and then he grabbed my hands and placed it behind my back with one and then pushed me down on the couch before he kissed me.

He then released my hands as I tried to push him away but he was too strong and pinned both my hands above my head before he continued kissing me roughly. It wasn't as gentle as the kiss earlier and I was scared he would do something wrong in this state.

Someone please help me because I knew I was screwed.
