Ariel
I woke up with a slight headache and turned to see Zeke. He seemed to be sleeping peacefully by my side and then I held his hand and came closer to him.
I placed my head on his chest and heard his soft breathing before it paused and started breathing faster.
"Red?" Zeke said sleepily but his eyes didn't open but he knew I was awake.
"Zeke what happened?" I asked weakly but then he opened his eyes and held my face gently before he placed a kiss.
"Are you hungry?" Zeke asked and I nodded.
"I feel like eating land meat." I responded and we both started laughing.
It hadn't been long before a meal was brought and then Zeke started feeding me like I was some child. It would be sweet if I was human but it made me feel incapable of handling myself.
"I can do it myself." I told Zeke but he pulled the spoon back when I tried to collect it.
"Don't be stubborn Red. Be a good red hair and let me feed you." Zeke cautioned me like a little child and then he smiled making me smile.
"Stop that." I instructed him as he smiled brighter.
"Stop what?"
"Stop being so charming and smiling at me like that." I told him off and then he shook his head.
After the meal, Zeke left to attend to matters that I didn't bother to ask.
I was tired of lying down so I stood up to take a walk around the palace. I walked down the halls with no disturbances and got to the garden that I haven't seen in more than a year.
I sat by the fountain after picking a red daisy and then I smelled it before I looked at my reflection then I jolted in shock when I saw Argus.
"Hello Prince Ariel." Argus said as I stared at him.
"What are you doing here? Last I remember you were fighting my home." I told him straightforward and then he smiled.
"That's exactly what I love about you Ariel. Wild, untainted in soul, handsome, curious and strong." He complimented me as he played with my hair.
"What do you want Argus?" I asked and then he smiled.
"Let's go somewhere more comfortable to talk." Argus informed me and then he snapped his fingers.
In an instant, the garden was gone and we were in a large hall with a waterfall that flowed outside the window. The walls had nature and water designs and fitted the environment.
"Would you like something to eat?" Argus asked but I shook my head. "Very well."
He snapped his fingers and then a table full of food and wine appeared in the room. Argus took a glass and then he took another in his hand before he took a drink and offered it to me.
I was about to accept it when he pulled it away from me making me confused.
"I almost forgot, a pregnant person shouldn't take alcohol." He stated making me shocked.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked as I stared at him while he sipped his wine.
"Your pregnant. This was my gift to you, I gave you a womb." He confessed before I slowly placed my hand on my stomach.
"I shouldn't be. I'm not ready to have a child." I stated but then Argus kept his calm and dropped the wine glasses before he walked up to me and placed his hands on my face gently.
"Calm down. You should be happy, a child is a blessing." He informed me as I stared rudely at him.
"Why did you give me a womb?" I asked and then he kissed me.
Argus kissed me.
"I want you Ariel. I want you to bear my child and live with me. I remember when I first laid my eyes on you when you were a child, so innocent, so curious and stubborn but you were like an angel. I wanted to take you away with me but then I know how your father is. Then when you were mature, you found your first mate who caught your interest first. I won't lie when I say I'm happy his dead because I hated him for taking you away from me." He explained as I stepped away from him.
"If you wanted a child with me, why let Zeke have me first?" I asked and then he frowned.
"That's because no matter what I do, the fates will keep bringing someone like him to be your mate. So instead I found a perfect solution."
"What solution?"
"Letting you have a child before I take you." Argus said and then I shook my head and started walking towards the large door in this hall.
"I will never let you take me. No matter what you do Argus, I'll never love you as a mate. Your a god but not my half. Call off this war and I'll try not to hate you for changing my body and having me raped." I informed him making him frown.
"Ariel you belong to me, one way or the other. I'll call off the war but you need me. If you want your child to be born." Argus informed me making me to stop and look at him.
"You need me because when your ready for delivery, it'll be hard to find someone that can deliver a baby for males. The only way it's possible is if you find someone who has done it or werewolves or faes." He explained making me to shake my head.
"Argus send me back because I don't like you." I demanded before he sighed in frustration and then looked at me.
"Okay." He responded before he snapped his fingers and then I was back in the palace garden.
I saw as guards were passing by and then they walked up to me in a gentle manner as I sighed.
"My lord, King Eric requests that you return to your quarters. We've been looking for you." One of the guards informed me before I nodded.
I returned back to my room and then I saw Zeke who immediately hugged me and then started kissing my face like he was desperate to have me back.
"Where were you?" Zeke asked and then I sighed before I pulled him to the bed and we sat down.
"I met with Argus." I confessed making him surprised.
"What did that bastard want?" He asked as he clenched his fists.
"His going to lay off the attack on Atlantica." I informed making him look at me with confusion.
"How? Why?"
"Because he wants me and also because..." I paused before I stood up and faced my back to Zeke before I faced him.
"Because what?" He asked before I placed my hand on my stomach.
"Because... I'm pregnant."
