This is a letter to all my readers on how tragic this story ended. How? Let me explain.

In the first series, Uriel loved Aric and died for his love.

In the second Series, Aric meets a lookalike who is actually Zeke but I guess I should have explained somethings.

Originally in the little mermaid Ursala is a villain and I wanted to maintain that storyline that she died so it wouldn't be too different from the original.

I know everyone loves a happy ending but Uriel in the eyes of the people is always a villain and he maintained that image until Aric understood him.

If they had ended together, Aric still wouldn't get his happy ending as the merfolks are against sea witches and wizards as they hate humans.

They slowly accepted humans as their origins are from gods and humans worship their gods even Triton.

Also let me make this clear that Zeke is Uriel.

Uriel predicted his death and made a deal with the fates to break his soul into three fragments.

A fragments hold his memories, another his soul and another his bond with Aric.

Zeke is a manifestation of Uriel's bond to Aric as well as evil personality that is why he was abusive at first.

Zeke's memories about having a family has been imprinted on him because his lack of soul is the reason why he is human so he can learn emotions until he meets Aric.

The more Aric accepted him as a separate individual, Zeke's vessel was deviating away from the main goal which was to gather the other fragments so Aric's bond was creating a soul for Zeke.

So in a way you could say Zeke is and isn't Uriel.

I apologize if it's confusing but this was the only way I could make you understand.
