Protection had increased since I showed Zeke and my father the note and the goblet. My day of delivery was only a few days away and I was already feeling premature labour pain but with the doctor and Zeke help I was able to endure it.

I laid in bed singing the song my mother sang to me when I was young while I rubbed my heavily pregnant tummy. I was relaxed after all the cramps I've been having and then Zeke came in.

"How are both my treasures?" Zeke asked and then I laughed as I rubbed my stomach.

"She was kicking because she missed daddy." I replied and then Zeke peeked my lips.

"Correction. He was missing me because I'm awesome." I laughed at his joke.

"We've increased protection. I won't let Argus take you no matter what." Zeke said before I touched his torso gently.

"Nothing's gonna happen. I'm not going to let Argus take me because your my family, you both are." I said before I placed my hand on my stomach.

Zeke smiled before he kissed me and kissed my stomach. He rubbed his hand on my round tummy and massaged it.

"I have to go, Eric said he needed my assistance." He informed me before he kissed me and was about to leave.

I was pouting when I felt a tearing pain inside me. I sat down on the ground quickly as I tried to breathe but soft pain screams left my voice. Zeke immediately rushed to my side with a panicked face.

"Red are you okay?" He asked but I shook my head.

"The baby is coming!" I shouted before he opened the door and luckily a manservant was passing by.

"CALL THE DOCTOR!" He ordered before he lifted me in his arms to the room they had set up for me to have the child.

I saw as April, Attina and Alana with the midwife who my dad had called that helped males give birth come in with some things.

"Hold him down, the pain is only going to get worse." She instructed them and Zeke and Attina gently held me down as the midwife started to mix something.

The pain was so much and unbearable that I started to struggle against Zeke and Attina's hold so that I could break free from their hold but Zeke's eyes and scent kept me calm once in a while.

Zeke
Red was in a lot of unbearable pain. He would calm down for a minute when he looked into my eyes but then his pain would make him thrash violently.

"Hurry up and soothe his pain!" I ordered from the midwife who was frightened from my outburst but nodded and then brought a bowl to Red.

"Let him drink this, it'll help him with the pain." She said and then I took it from her and then brought the bowl close to Red.

He didn't want to drink at first but after speaking soothing words to him, he drank it desperately and slowly he started to calm down.

April had squeezed a cloth in water and placed on his forehead before I saw the midwife bring something sharp close to Red.

"Will it hurt him?" I asked but she shook her head.

"The water had pain killers and herbs to make him calm." She replied and then she slowly cut the underside of his stomach.

Zeke showed no sign of pain and was calming down as the lady did her work on him. She called this operation a C-section.

It had been an hour of patience and finally we all heard crying. I breathed out in relief a breath I didn't realize I was holding. I looked at Red who had tears falling from his eyes as the lady neatly but quickly sew him up.

"CONGRATULATIONS! IT'S A BOY!!!" April announced after she was done bathing and covering the baby with a blanket.

The girls held him as I held the hand of my Red who was still crying with a smiled on his face.

"You did it Red. I'm so proud of you, I love you." I said as I kissed his pale hands and his forehead.

Red tried to say something but he was clearly pale and exhausted that he couldn't find words. He stretched his free hand towards our baby and then Alana who was holding him dropped him in his arms.

I helped Red to support the child because he was clearly weak and then he smiled with tears in his eyes while he touched our baby who was already asleep.

Our little boy was beautiful. He didn't have hair yet but you could see the little threads of red hair on his head. He looked healthy and a lot like Red but he had my nose and lips. We just had to say for when he would open his eyes.

Our little boy gripped Red's finger tightly like he recognized the person who birthed him and didn't let it go. It didn't take long he opened his eyes and smiled at us.

His eyes were beautiful. They were a silvery shade of grey that my father had before he died. I was surprised with the way he was smiling because we were told at this age smiling was just a muscle action till he was a few months older.

He stopped smiling and then looked at his mother who was starting to blink his eyes tiredly. I took our baby out of his hands after gently removing his grip on Red before the midwife tucked him in bed.

"He needs a lot of rest and nutritious meal. Since his too weak, we'll start on soups." She instructed before she left the room.

"So have you thought of a name?" April asked as we walked out of the room with the baby in my hand.

"Yes. His name is Ocean." I responded and they all smiled at the name.

"That's a beautiful name for a beautiful boy." Attina said and then I handed her the child since the women were in charge of the baby till Red was strong enough.

Immediately I dropped Ocean in Attina's arms, he started crying and I felt like something was wrong.

"Something doesn't feel right." Alana said and then the ground started shaking like an earthquake.

"Red!" I shouted as I ran back to the room.

I banged the door open to see Red asleep and secured in a man's arm in princess style.

"Leave him alone you bloody bastard!" I demanded but then he smirked before he took a step forward.

"Watch your tongue with me mortal, I can cut you down where you stand but I won't. Thank your mate that he loves you too much." He said and then I realized he was Argus.

"How did you take down the barrier?" I asked angrily and then he laughed.

"When people owe you favors, It's easy to get things done." He responded and the before I reacted, he vanished.

I fell to my knees as I shouted in pain. Argus had taken away my husband and mate before he even got to hold his son properly.

Thinking about how Ocean gripped Red's hand gave me more reasons to hurt and boil in anger.

Red please wait for me because I'll come for you. I promise.
