Chapter twelve: Remember me?

Aleigh and Jacob's relationship took a turn for the best. Jacob didn't want Aleigh for sex. Nor did Aleigh want Jacob for that. Aleigh and Jacob were cuddling on his couch watching Halloween. "I love how we're just a normal couple.'' Aleigh kisses his cheek. "Oh please we couldn't be normal if we tried." Jacob laughs.

Aleigh made a confused look. "What do you mean?" Jacob knew he had to tell Aleigh about killing Nate. He just didn't know how. "I murdered Nate. Pears brother." Jacob spoke. His voice so low it was frightening. "Why?" Aleigh asks in shock. "Because he harmed my baby cousin." Jacob replies remembering the night he murdered the ass. "Who's your baby cousin?" Aleigh asks. "Cotton Reynolds." Jacob replies.

The girl Aleigh needs to kill. It was a shock to her. "Cotton? The nine year old,  Jake and his girlfriend adopted?" Aleigh's voice became a little high. "Yes why?" Jacob asks. He didn't know of Aleigh's plans to murder Cotton. "Um no reason. Anyway Jacob I gotta go." Aleigh grabs her bag. The new information only made her kills difficult. She couldn't tell Jacob about it. She needs to get out of her anger. And she's got the perfect person in mind for that. Jada. She thought as she walks out.

Jada was outside playing with her nephew Karr. Aleigh walks up. "Hey Jada." She smiles as she walks up to Jada and Karr. "Hi Aleigh." Jada says with a perky voice. "Would you like to hang with me tomorrow night?" Aleigh asks. Jada wasn't sure if she wanted to. Aleigh was pretty mysterious and quiet. She never let anyone in. Mostly, because she didn't trust. Jada would have said no but something urged her to say yes. "Hmm why not. I don't see the harm in it.'' Jada smiles sweetly. Her accent made Aleigh fuzzy and warm inside.  "Meet me after school at the gates." Aleigh says with a cute smile. She never uses that smile which Jada found odd. "I've never seen you smile so cutely like that before." Jada says as she puts Karr down. Karr runs into the house. "It's probably because I feel comfortable around you.'' Aleigh says in a playful voice. Jada found that intriguing. ''Most people wouldn't be." Jada sits in the grass.

"What do you mean?" Aleigh squats down to meet Jada's brown eyes. Jada, she was a mean person but she had a soft side to her. Only Pear knew it. Or did know it. "Everyone calls me the school bully. Because I usually picked on Jessica. But to be honest with you, I really like her. She's so sweet and kind. Her boyfriend isn't half bad either. I wish I could change my reputation as a bully." Jada explains. Aleigh felt sympathy for the small girl. "So why don't you?" Aleigh asks. Jada lays back on the grass. "Pear. She doesn't want me to change. But I do. Come to think of it. I don't even know why I am with her." Jada speaks. Aleigh lays on her chest next to Jada. "I'll tell you one thing, Nate and Pear won't be around anymore." Aleigh says. Jada looks at Aleigh. "Did they move?"

Aleigh smiles. "I don't know for sure but I know they won't be around." Jada loves the news. Pear is gone along with her jerk of a brother Nate. Jada could rekindle her friendship with Jessica. A long time ago, before Pear and her brother moved to London. Jada and Jessica were best mates. Always hanging around with Jake and Jacob. But once Pear came into the picture, Jessica was pushed out. "Why are you smiling like that?" Aleigh asks. Jada hadn't realized she was smiling ear to ear. ''They're both dead. Aren't they?" The question caught Aleigh by surprise. Aleigh sat up. "W-what?" Aleigh stutters.

Jada was no dumb girl. She knew that Jacob murdered Nate. And Aleigh slaughtered Pear. "Jacob murdered Nate, a few weeks back. You just the day before, slaughtered Pear." Jada whispers. Aleigh looks down at her hands. "How did you know?"

Jada sits up. "Nate wouldn't leave town. He always wanted Jessica but something got in the way. It was Cotton. Nate unknowingly kidnapped Jacob's baby cousin. Jacob would only kill for her, and her very much in fact killed for her. And You, Pear was just a threat. And everyone wanted to kill her but only one had the guts to and it was you." That was pretty self explanatory. Jada, she got everything right. From the Nate murder down to the Pear slaughtering. "Wow. I'm surprised you know all that." Aleigh says with a shocked look. "I just know Jacob pretty well." Jada smiles remembering the times they all hung out.

Flashback

"Jes come on, take a risk!" Jada whined at her best friend. Jessica just pouted. Not daring to look at her best friend. "I don't want to!" She finally breathed out. Jessica didn't like taking risks. Only took em when Jake was around. ''We're here! Your lives just got better." Jacob proudly says. Jake sits next to Jessica. "Great! Now can you convince Jes to jump off the cliff with me?" Jada asks Jake. Jessica shot a mean glare at Jada. Jake made her look at her. ''I'll make this easier on you. If you jump off with me. I'll take the responsibility for it.'' Jake says. Jessica honestly trusts him with everything she had. She just nods reluctantly. "Okay."

Jada claps her hands. "Let's do this!" Jacob yells. He takes Jada's hands and she smiles. "Have fun!" Jake calls to them. Jada sent a thumbs up to them. ''One. Two. Three. Jump." Jada and Jacob jumped off the cliff. Their bodies hitting the water with a gigantic splash. "You okay?" Jake calls out to them. They came up screaming. "Come in!" Jake looks at Jessica. "We gotta." He says. She just nods. They stood at the edge. Looking down. It was frightening to Jessica. "One. Two. Three. Jump." Jake grabs her hand and jumps. "Wait!" She screams but her feet already left the rock. They hit the water. "See baby that wasn't so bad." Jake says once they come back up. ''I guess so.'' Jessica swims back to the rocks. "I really don't think she likes water." Jake says to Jada and Jacob.

"Same.'' They said in unsion.

Reality.

"Oh that's cool." Aleigh smiles taking Jada out of her thoughts. ''Yeah. I remember, Jake pleading to Jes to jump off the cliff. It took a lot for her to do so. She's not too fond of water." Jada laughs. Aleigh is beginning to like this girl. She felt like she was finding a new friend.  A good one, one she couldn't kill. The thing that caught Aleigh's attention was the fact she knew Pear and Nate were murdered. It didn't bother Aleigh much. But what if Jada told the police? She and Jacob would go to prison for life. She had to eliminate Jada regardless of her fondness of her. ''Sounds like fun. Must have been nice." Aleigh smiles. Jada returned the smile. "You don't have to worry about me telling the police. I won't." Aleigh couldn't tell if she could trust Jada or not. "Okay well its getting late. I better go home."  Aleigh got up.

"Bye Aleigh.'' Jada calls out after her.

"Bye." Aleigh mumbles.
