Walking, it's simple, really. Well, unfortunately for me it isn't. In all honesty it wasn't my fault. Truth is, I blame J&C for knocking me over. Especially since they were goofing off and ran into me, knocked me down onto the floor causing my food to fly out of my hands. Embarrassed? Check. Angry? Check. Socially awkward and want to die in this moment? Check, check, check.

"You okay?" I ignored them, dusting my palms off as I sat up.

One bad thing about having an outside cafeteria is that the floor is all hard, concrete so my palms scraped the ground as I fell and are now bleeding. My jeans are also ripped and there are small, bleeding cuts on my knees. Isn't life just fucking awesome?

"I'm fine." I stood up, glancing around for Tara, my best friend. I needed her in this moment because I'm embarrassed and hate the attention from these two insanely attractive boys.

"You sure, you fell pretty hard." I nodded, feeling my cheeks redden.

I watched one of them as they picked up my food off the floor while the other looked me up and down. I shifted uncomfortably, avoiding his stare.

"We're sorry, this dumbass shoved me into you." I looked at the one who had my food in his hands while the other one just kept staring at me.

"It's fine, really." They both smiled at each other, the one with curly black hair and brown eyes throwing my food away.

"I'm Jonah and this is Chris." I looked between the two already knowing who they were.

J&C, notorious for causing trouble throughout the years of high school but everyone loved them. I can see why, they were both insanely attractive and funny. They've been best friends since I could remember. I went to the same elementary and middle school with them but both never paid any attention to me and now that they're standing in front of me, I want nothing more than to run away.

"Aviana." Chris finally smiled, averting his gaze away from me.

"Well, Avi, let us treat you to lunch since we ruined yours." I glanced towards Chris, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Only my friends call me Avi." Jonah snickered, looking at Chris obviously awaiting his reaction but all he did was continue smiling.

"We're friends, aren't we?" I slowly shook my head, feeling relieved as I saw Tara walking my way.

She came to a stop next to the two boys, admiring them fondly before looking towards me, "Is there a problem?" I grabbed her arm, pulling her after me without saying a word.

"What were you doing with J&C?" I gulped, glancing back to see them both staring after me.

"They knocked me down, it's fine though." Her eyes widened and I pulled her down to sit with me at a table.

I bit my lip, hoping I didn't seem rude when I was with them. Tara just stared at me in shock as I looked at my scraped palms.

"Do you have bandaids?" I showed her my palms and then my knees causing her to snap out of her daze.

"Oh, yeah." She rifled through her backpack, pulling out a small pouch and unzipped it before tossing five bandaids to me.

"Thanks." She offered me a smile, zipping her backpack up.

I grunted as she jabbed me in the side, motioning towards J&C. I made eye contact with Chris and quickly looked away wishing I hadn't looked. Now he must think I'm weird, great.

Tara giggled, still staring at them as they walked away, "Both are cute but, which one would you rather do? Jonah or Chris?" I snorted, pulling my notebook out of my backpack.

"Neither, they may be good looking and all, but they aren't my type." Tara stayed quiet, tapping her nails against the table.

I started working on my AP notes which were due today, in my next period. Call me a procrastinator, I just didn't feel like doing it last night. It was boring and just a waste of time and plus, I think I do better under pressure especially when the bell is supposed to ring in about three minutes.

"Oh, shit, I didn't do them!" I glanced up at Tara as she stared at my notebook in horror.

"Can I copy yours?" I shrugged and she quickly pulled her notebook out of her backpack as I finished up my summary.

"You're not going to make it." She whined, jotting down some of my notes as quickly as she could.

The bell rang and she practically cried, throwing her pencil down while I closed my notebook and shoved it in my backpack.

"This is stupid, why does he even make us take notes when it's clear we won't ever go over them again?" I laughed, swinging my backpack onto my shoulder.

"I don't know, Tara, you should ask him." We started walking, Tara quietly muttering how much she hated Mr. Jensen, our AP teacher.

She went on and on, all the way up until we actually made it to our classroom. I glanced at the board and practically groaned seeing what was written down.

"We're moving seats." Tara huffed out in annoyance, stomping her foot.

"Yay, another thing to add onto the list as to why I hate him." I rolled my eyes at her dramatics before walking to the back of the class where Mr. Jensen was having everyone stand so he could tell us our new seats.

"Ugh, he's the worst. You're the best partner I've had, everyone else is dumb." I smiled, glancing around the class.

Everyone was standing at the back, the whole class quiet as he started to say people's names while pointing towards their new seat. I jumped when the classroom door was slammed open and none other than J&C walked in laughing quite loudly.

Not caring, Mr. Jensen continued calling names then my name was called. I smiled, glad to see I was sitting at the back against the wall.

I was about to walk towards my new seat until Tara pulled me back, "I bet both J&C are sitting near you." I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"Please, that only happens in stupid books and movies."

"Whatever." I ignored her, walking away and dropped my backpack to the floor.

"Chris, you're sitting next to Aviana and Jonah you're sitting in front of Aviana.... Tara, right next to Jonah." I groaned, leaning my head against my arms.

At least I have Tara.

"Actually, Tara, right up front since Valerie moved to a different school." You've got to be kidding me.

"Hey, new partner." I looked up at Chris as he smirked, plopping into the seat next to me.

"Shits going to be fun." Jonah sat in the seat in front of me, turning towards Chris and I.

"Right, aren't you lucky?" Chris winked at me, leaning over to Jonah to do a small handshake.

I hate my life.
