I sat at the kitchen island, staring at the plate of food and avoided eye contact with Chris and Jonah. There was so much tension between them and it was my fault. I shouldn't have kissed Chris and I should have told him to go back into the room he was sleeping in.

"I'm sorry, Avi, about last night." I looked up at Jonah, still feeling like it was my fault.

"It's okay, I shouldn't of kissed either of you last night." The two glanced at each other, both looking apologetic.

I played with the food on my plate, hoping I haven't ruined their friendship completely. Why couldn't things be easier? They were both amazing and great friends, I didn't want to lose either of them.

"Your friendship is way more important than me, you know that, don't you?" I asked, looking up at the two.

Chris took a quick glance at Jonah before averting his gaze back to me. "Sort of... you're right though, Avi. I'm sorry, Jonah, I shouldn't have kissed her." Jonah narrowed his eyes at Chris suspiciously and stood up.

"You're a fucking liar, Chris, you don't mean it." We all stayed quiet for a few minutes, Chris seeming a bit surprised at what Jonah had said.

I stood up myself, grabbing my phone from the counter. "You two need to work this out and I don't want to be between you two anymore." Jonah gave in, blowing out a breath.

"I'm sorry... this is just ridiculous and I don't want to lose either of you. Can we all just try being friends?" I stared at Jonah, a bit taken back from what he had said.

I shifted, feeling my phone start to vibrate in my hand. "Friends is the only thing I'm willing to be." I said, then looked towards Chris.

"Friends it is, I won't try anything with Aviana and Jonah, you better not try anything with me either. Don't wanna make her jealous." Chris winked, joking, which broke down the tension causing Jonah to laugh.

"That's a damn shame. See, Avi, now you ruined my chances with this fucker." I rolled my eyes, glancing at my phone to see a text from my dad.

"Oh well, you'll just have to deal with it. My dad is here, but I'll see you two later." They nodded and proceeded to walk me out.

Before walking towards my dad's car, I gave both of them a hug. I really hope that everything will go back to normal after this, we all just agreed to stay friends. But for some odd reason, I just feel like it won't last.

"I love you!" I shook my head at Tara, smiling widely when she blew me a kiss before driving off.

Sighing, I clutched the box of leftovers before walking up the pathway to my house. I spent the day with Tara because I felt like we haven't been spending as much time together. Plus, I missed my best friend. However, she kept asking questions about Jonah and Chris since she was widely invested in the "love triangle". Not that there was one, we're all just friends.

As soon as I entered the house, my mom walked up to me and encased her hand around my forearm. "What is it?" She just smiled secretly, leading me towards the sliding glass doors that led to our backyard.

I followed her outside and my eyes widened, seeing pillows and blankets that had candy and snacks on it, along with a projector and a screen. I smiled, turning towards her.

"Did you and dad do this?" She rolled her eyes at me and I slightly smiled when Chris walked out from the sliding doors with a bowl of popcorn in his hands.

"Well, I'll leave you two now." Chris quietly thanked her and she chuckled before leaving us alone.

Chris walked towards me, a wide smile on his face, "Remember when I said we should watch that movie you liked together?" I nodded, gripping the container of food in my hands.

"Well, we're watching 10 Things I Hate About you and since it's romance, I don't think I'll like it." I playfully glared at him as he led me towards the blankets.

I sat down, getting comfortable when he set the bowl of popcorn between us. I fumbled with the box in my hand before putting it down while the movie started playing.

"I invited Jonah, but he said he couldn't make it." I stared at him suspiciously, not really sure if he was telling the truth.

He sighed, pulling out his phone, "I did, you want me to call him?" I shook my head, looking forward.

"It's fine, you wouldn't have said that if you weren't telling the truth." He chuckled, reaching into the bowl of popcorn.

"Jonah said he'd join next time." Silence ensued around us after that and I focused my attention on the movie, smiling when Chris set a box of Skittles on my lap.

I thanked him, staring at the screen. After some time, it wasn't as quiet anymore since Chris cracked a few jokes here and there, making me laugh. I felt at ease with him, he was comforting too. I liked his presence.

"Gracie asked about you." Chris softly said it, not moving his gaze away from the screen.

I looked towards him, wondering if he'd elaborate on what he said. He didn't though.

"And...?" I prompted, studying him when he furrowed his eyebrows, a slight mar on his forehead.

"Nothing, Gracie just never asks about anyone... except Jonah. I find it odd since she's really quiet and tends to keep to herself, she never grows attached to anyone either. She's attached to you and I sort of am too." I smiled, leaning my head against his shoulder.

"Well, I'm attached to her too, she's adorable." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, looking down at me.

"What about me?" I rolled my eyes, looking back at the movie.

"You're annoying." He scoffed, shaking his head.

"I'm not annoying." There was a moment of silence between us and I held in my laughter, pouring a few Skittles into my palm.

"You gonna share?" I licked my lips, not bothering to look at him.

"No, I don't share candy and- no!" I shoved him away when he tried grabbing one causing me to drop a few.

"See, that's what I mean, you're annoying." I pouted then plopped a few into my mouth, focusing my attention on the movie.

Just as Kat and Patrick fell during the paintball scene, Chris cupped my cheek and turned me towards him, pressing his lips against mine. I kissed him for a slight second before pulling away.

"Chris, I thought-"

"I'm sorry, I really am. Don't tell Jonah, please." I sighed, nervously fidgeting with the blanket we were sitting on.

"Okay, I won't tell him." He apologized again and I looked back towards the movie.

For now, I only have to hope that things will be fine between the three of us.
