"I can help you clean up." Jonah stood up, walking over to me while Chris started washing the dishes.
"Oh, it's fine, Jonah. Chris is already helping me." Tara groaned, resting her head on the table.
"Does someone have ibuprofen or something?" Jonah rolled his eyes, walking out of the kitchen.
I smirked, glancing towards Chris, "Called it." Chris smiled as I bumped my hip against his.
"You did..." Jonah walked back in, tossing a bottle of Advil towards Tara.
"I can drive you home if you want." I went to take him up on his offer until Jonah nonchalantly threw his arm over my shoulder.
"You don't have to, Chris, I know you have work in a bit so I'll take her home." Chris furrowed his eyebrows, looking up at him.
"Actually, I don't have work today, Jonah. I'm off on weekends, you know this." Jonah laughed, running a hand through his hair.
"Right, I forgot." Chris laughed too, shaking his head at him.
I handed Chris another plate and he started washing it while Jonah tried talking to me, "So, tell me a little more about yourself." I opened my mouth then gasped as Tara tossed the bottle of Advil towards Jonah's head.
"I can't get them open!" She whined, covering her face while Jonah groaned, rubbing the back of his head.
Chris snickered and I held in my laughter as Jonah picked up the Advil, "Its not that hard." He unscrewed the cap, taking two pills out and then handed them to her.
She muttered a 'thanks', downing them with her coffee. Chris just stared at her in amusement before washing the last dish. I dried them off and handed them to Jonah so he could put them away.
"When do your parents want you home?" I shrugged, walking over to Tara while she groaned.
"It doesn't really matter." He smiled, slightly glancing down.
"Well, since it doesn't matter, you wanna hang out with me today?" I looked at Tara smiling when she gave me a thumbs up and a wink before dropping her head against her arms.
"Sure, Jonah, do you think you can take Tara home?" He nodded, grimacing when Tara smacked at her head.
"I'm in pain, Avi!" Jonah muttered something under his breath and Tara heard, immediately smacking him.
I laughed, shaking my head at her then turned towards Chris, "I'm going to change back into my clothes." He nodded, moving around me while Jonah started filling up a cup of water.
Jonah turned towards him, a mischievous smirk on his face. I slowly backed away then grunted when Chris pulled me back, pulling me in front of him.
"You guys are so childish!" I yelled as Jonah tossed the cup towards me and Chris.
Chris laughed while I pulled at the soaked shirt I was wearing, "Jokes on you this is your shirt." He only shrugged, still laughing as Jonah snickered.
"You guys are loud..." Tara groaned, rubbing her head before yawning.
I walked away, ignoring Chris as he yelled my name, "Aviana, I'm sorry but I-" I turned back around and covered my mouth as Chris slipped on the water from the floor, landing on his back.
"That's what he gets." Jonah muttered it, a small smile on his face and I shook my head at the two.
Chris groaned in pain and stopped, but when I looked back at him he started groaning again. I only rolled my eyes, feeling a smile form on my face. I walked back up the stairs, still smiling as I heard their laughter.
It was obvious that nothing could come between those two, they were a package deal. Both goofing off together and having a good time. I've gone to school with them since kindergarten and even since then they've been inseparable.
I grabbed my jeans, quickly pulling them on as there was a slight knock on the door, "Um... who is it?" I pulled off Chris' shirt, tossing it to the bed then grabbed my top.
"Jonah... you decent?!" I laughed, getting my shirt on.
"Yeah, come in!" He slowly opened the door, covering his eyes with his hands as I sat down on the bed, grabbing my shoes.
"Jonah, it's fine, I'm dressed." I pulled my boots on, glancing up at him while he uncovered his eyes.
He awkwardly shifted from side to side, looking down, "So... we never really had a chance to talk, just you and me." I nodded, reaching over to grab my jacket.
"Chris tells me you have a thing for Ariana Grande." I bit my lip to keep from smiling, searching for a hair tie in the pockets of my jacket while he blushed.
"Oh, yeah, it's... I just..." I chuckled, finding his flustered state cute.
"I'm not really an Ariana Grande fan, but she has good music." He blew out a breath, his cheeks turning a deeper shade of pink.
"You're blushing, I find it cute." He groaned, covering his face.
"I think I'm starting to regret this friendship." I scoffed, finally being able to find a hair tie.
"That's rude, and I'm over here thinking you're the nice one." A small smile formed on his face and he slightly shook his head at me.
"I am, and Chris is just s-"
"Am I interrupting something?" Chris knocked on the door, sticking his head through the doorframe.
Jonah laughed, waving him in, "Nah, just trying to get to know Aviana." I nodded, putting my hair up into a ponytail.
"Oh, well, I just need to get changed so we could go." I picked up his clothes and tossed them towards him.
"Hurry up, I don't like waiting." He mocked me making me laugh before I walked out.
Jonah followed after me, quietly humming to himself, "Chris said your parents are out of town." He glanced my way, giving me a small shrug.
"They always are, it gets pretty lonely here." He heaved a dramatic sigh, giving me a small pout.
"Wow, totally must suck to be all alone in this mansion." He sighed again, frowning, but I knew better. He was playing around with me.
"Yeah, no one to enjoy the pool with. No one to watch a movie with in the theater, all alone in the game room. It sucks." It was quiet for a moment until we met each other's eyes and busted out into laughter.
"It's actually not bad, I'm not that rich kid whose parents don't give a shit about. They care about me a lot though, always checking in on me when they're out of town. When they're home, mom is always cooking." I smiled, walking down the stairs.
"That's really nice... why do you go to public school? Why not a private school?" He smiled widely, moving to sit down on the couch.
"My parents went to Ridgemont High too, so they wanted me to go to their high school." I went to respond but, stopped when I saw Chris walking down the stairs.
"Took you long enough." He rolled his eyes then smiled while walking up to Jonah.
"You will not believe who just texted me right now." Jonah frowned, reaching up to grab Chris' phone.
He looked through the text messages and Chris turned towards me, "You left your phone in the room too." He handed me my phone and I thanked him, glancing up at Jonah.
"Why is she texting you?" Chris sighed, taking his phone back.
"I don't know, she's a bitch anyway. I'm sure Avi would just love to set her straight." I grimaced, shaking my head while they looked at each other in thought. They had an idea, it was obvious and I wanted no part in it.
"Uh... just so you two know, I'm not good with confrontation. I'm the kind to just sit back and observe, I don't do the talking. Just the listening." Jonah smirked, crossing his arms.
"Well, that's going to change." I cringed, not sure what they were planning. I just know I'm going to hate it.
