"I freaking told you it would make things complicated. And to top it all off, you kissed both boys in one night. Now that, that is what I call idiotic. Love the drama though." I groaned, glancing at Tara while she shoved a handful of popcorn into her mouth.

"Jonah told me to meet him at the stream and I just don't really want to get between the two anymore. Help me, Tara, please." She sat up from my bed, placing the bowl of popcorn next to her.

"Okay, here's my advice, did you read the book I gave you?" I rolled my eyes, wanting to shove her off the bed.

"No, I haven't got to it." My phone rang and Tara immediately grabbed it, answering the call.

"Who is it?" She shushed me, nodding along to what the person was saying.

"Okay, I'll tell her, bye." I narrowed my eyes at her, but all she did was smile.

"It was Jonah, he said he's at the stream. So... who do you like more?" I didn't answer her because I couldn't. I wasn't sure, I didn't even want to make a decision.

"I'm thinking we should all just stay friends." Tara snorted, walking up to me.

"Avi, we all know damn well that you all can't just stay friends. The damage has been done, either be the dramatic and say, I choose none of you or choose one of them." I bit my lip, wishing I didn't have to choose. I was bad with choices, I couldn't make up my mind.

"I don't know, Tara, this is all too much for me. What's the point in choosing when we're practically graduating soon? It's not like I'm going to stay with either of them. Fuck it, I'm not choosing any of them." I grabbed my phone, still a bit frustrated with this whole situation.

I literally had the most boring life before this, why the hell is so much happening right now?

"I'm going to go meet Jonah and tell him now."  I said, walking out of my room while her eyes widened.

"I'll drive you!" Tara followed after me, the bowl of popcorn in her hands.

I jogged down the stairs, turning the corner quickly and ran into my dad, "Oh, great, I was just going to get you. There's a boy asking for you." I furrowed my eyebrows, glancing behind me to see Tara munching on the popcorn. Of course.

"I haven't seen you in a while, Mr. Presley, you've missed a lot." Tara commented towards my dad, offering him some popcorn.

He declined, giving her a small smile, "I've been busy at work... who exactly is that boy and why does he want to talk with my daughter?" Tara shrugged and I quickly walked towards the front door.

I pulled it open, groaning in distress when I saw Chris, "This just gets better and better." I glanced at my side to see Tara, a wide smile on her face. She was clearly enjoying this, I wasn't.

"What are you doing here?" He ran a hand through his hair, pulling at the ends of it.

"I just wanted to apologize for what happened earlier. Jonah and I shouldn't have put you on the spot like that." I cautiously nodded, closing my eyes as I felt my dad place his hands on my shoulders.

"Is there something going on?" Tara cleared her throat, pointing towards Chris.

"No, they're just friends, but I'm sure you remember Chris. Chris Vargas." My dad moved to stand in front of him, eyeing him.

"Christopher Vargas?" Chris nodded, a tint of pink lighting up his cheeks.

"I remember you, you're Bianca's kid... the little boy with the lisp." I bit my lip to keep from laughing as recognition crossed my dad's features.

"I also r-" I cut my dad off, pushing him back so I could actually talk with Chris myself.

"Okay, dad, I need to talk to Chris. I'll see you later." My dad sighed, gently kissing the side of my head before letting me walk out of the house.

Tara was a few feet away from me, the bowl of popcorn still in her grasp.

"Chris, I think it's better if we all just stay friends." He shifted from side to side, a mar on his forehead as he thought about what I said.

"Yeah, but-"

"You said nothing could get between you two. Not even a girl." Tara looked back and forth, her eyes wide while waiting for Chris to reply.

"Well, I was wrong... I said that way before I fell for you. It's different now, everything has changed." I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out.

I honestly didn't know how to respond. I didn't want to hurt either of them, but in the end all of us could end up getting hurt.

"Chris, I just-" He pulled me into his arms, immediately pressing his lips against mine.

I stood in shock for a second then gently pushed him away as Tara started choking on a piece of popcorn. She hit her chest a couple times, her eyes watering.

"Holy shit, I almost died... you are all fucked by the way. Love triangles aren't easy except they are fucking interesting. Aviana, not to be mean or anything, but... you're literally causing my eye to twitch for being the indecisive lead character. It's getting on my damn nerves." I rolled my eyes at her, not wanting to be apart of this anymore.

"I'm not being indecisive. I've made my decision. I'm staying neutral, I'm not choosing anyone. I just want to be friends." I walked away, pulling out my phone to text Jonah.

I wasn't going to choose between two boys, I'm honestly already done with them.
