We delivered a healthy baby girl in less than an hour.
"Well done Mrs leverson" I smiled at her gently stroking the baby's head.
"Would you like to hold her sister?" She asked me.
"I would love to" I smiled at her gently taking the baby from her arms "She's perfect" I smiled at her and the baby giving her my pinky to hold.
"I'm going to name her Grace" she smiled at me.
"Isn't that just perfect" I smiled rocking the baby "I will pick the children up from school later" I told her.
"What about Walter?" She asked remembering her 2 year old son that sat in his pram in the hallway.
"I could look after him if necessary" I told her smiling.
"That would be wonderful sister" she smiled at me as I handed her daughter back.
The doctor and I left.
"Thank you for your help doctor" I smiled at him kindly.
"No thanks necessary now you best be on your rounds, I'll drop your bike back at Nonnatus" he smiled.
"Thank you" I smiled before saying goodbye and heading to my next mother for the day.
I pushed the pram down the street gaining some glares some hypocritical mothers.
"Midwife calling" I called into the house.
"Come in nurse" a woman called. I left the pram outside and took Walter inside with me.
"Who's this little one sister?" She asked.
"His mother just gave birth and she doesn't know anyone so I am now Walters babysitter for the day" I smiled at her and the toddler in my arms.
"Well you can put him in James' playpen for now as sister" she smiled at me.
10 minutes later

"All done and all perfect" I smiled at her.
"Thank you sister" she smiled back pulling her skirt down. I looked at the clock on the mantal and saw that I was late for lunch.
"Oh no I'm late" I said grabbing Walter out of the playpen.
"You best be on your way sister" she smiled at me handing me my bag. I left the flat saying goodbye. I put Walter and my bag into the pram and sprinted for Nonnatus house. I pushed the pram inside Nonnatus and closed the door with my foot. I picked up Walter and walked quickly over to the  table where everyone was sitting.
"Sorry I'm late sister" I apologized to sister julienne and took my seat at the table seating Walter on my lap.
"It's ok sister and hello little visitor" sister julienne smiled at the little boy.
"I'm sorry his mother went into labour and couldn't look after him" I explained while sister julienne held his tiny hand.
"No need to explain sister, doctor Turner told me earlier" sister julienne smiled "let's feed this little one" sister julienne smiled handing him a sandwich.
