"You did see Sophie the other day, but for now you need to stay away from her. You'll go to Chichester and you'll be released from your vows and when you return so will your daughter" Sister Julienne explained.
"Thank you sister" Sister Huxley wrapped her arms around her "But what will I do about work?"
"You'll come back here, to Nonnatus, where there has always been a home for you" He assured her.
"When do I go to Chichester?"
"Tonight. It's all arranged" She nodded.
"May I make a telephone call sister?"
"Of course, I'll give you some privacy" Sister Julienne silently left the room without another word. Sister Huxley rounded the desk and picked up the telephone and dialled the number, listening to it ring.
"Turner residence. Timothy speaking"
"Hello Timothy" She couldn't help but smile.
"Sister Huxley"
"I'm going to the mother house to sort a few things out. When I come back things will be different"
"How so?"
"I'll be the me before the habit. The liar"
"I don't think that you're a liar"
"But I am one"
"None of that matters, not to me. I think you know how I feel about you"
"I think I feel the same but things have gone very quick. You might change your mind when you discover the truth"
"So tell me, who are you really?"
"My name is Madeline now I have to go"
"Wait, Madeline-" She dropped the telephone back on the receiver and headed out of the office and upstairs to pack her things for the evening train.
