11 months later

I sat on my bed reading my book happily. When I looked over at the clock I realized that I was late for breakfast. I threw my book onto the bed and ran out of my room. I tumbled down the last 5 steps luckily not majorly hurting myself or breaking something. I ran the last few steps towards the kitchen table. I sat down quickly and apologized to sister julienne.
"How are you always late?" Sister Evangelina asked huffing.
"I'm sorry sister" I apologized.
"I asked why not for an apology" she huffed again "next time we will not be waiting for you" she huffed again before digging into her breakfast.
"Yes sister" I said quietly.
"Now that we are all here I wanted to tell all of the nurses that as it it Christmas I am going to give you each a box to fill with things you no longer need" sister julienne explained.
"But I need every thing I have" Trixie said making everyone laughing.
"I remember decorating for Christmas and my father lifting me up to put the star on top" Sister julienne smiled.
"I remember my father doing the same until I left home, now Tom just holds the step ladder" Barbra chuckled mentioning her husband.
"Peter just falls asleep eating a mince pie" Chummy chuckled at her husband.
"What about you sister Winefred?" Trixie asked.
"My brother and I would take turns but most of the time he would let me do it, even though I was older than him, he knew I enjoyed it more" she smiled.
"I would always let my little sister do it, I would pick her up and she would always feel proud afterwards" sister Mary-Cyinthia smiled.
"What about you sister Huxley?" Trixie asked me.
"Well...erm...we never really ever had a real Christmas" I said quietly "the tree was always small and falling apart and it was decorated with a few baubles that seem to decrease each year" I frowned "my mother would always wait until my father was asleep to give us our presents, one year after he fell asleep she gave us our presents, a spinning top, a doll and a teddy bear. We all gave the teddy bear to the youngest then the next youngest got the spinning top and I was voted to have the doll but I gave it to our next door neighbor because she had no presents" I smiled at the fond memory.
"What a positively dismal Christmas" Trixie sighed making me chuckle.
"I enjoyed it" I smiled at her.
