I tickled the already giggling child.
"You best head back out on your rounds" sister julienne smiled at me and the toddler.
"Yes I better, there are lots of mothers to see" I smiled standing up from the table and resting Walter on my hip.
"We are nurses not babysitters" Sister Evangelina grumbled.
"Which is why I'm looking after Walter so his mother doesn't harm herself any further" I mumbled quietly.
"Goodbye sister" sister julienne smiled at me. I said goodbye and made my way out to continue my rounds.
A few hours laterI made my way towards to school to collect the other child. I apologized to the teacher again and collected Samantha.
"Hello Samantha how was school?" I asked them as they held onto the pram and we began walking.
"Good I learnt maths" she smiled at me.
Back at the house"Midwife calling with visitors" I smiled pushing the pram into the house, Samantha ran in to meet the new baby. I carried Walter into the bedroom on my hip.
"Hello again Mrs leverson" I smiled at her placing Walter onto the bed and taking a seat myself.
"Thank you so much sister I hope he wasn't a bother" she smiled tickling him.
"He was a perfect angle" I smiled at the two children who were fauning over the baby girl in their mothers arms. "I will see you tomorrow and I will take the children to school no arguing" I told her sternly.
"Thank you sister I don't know what I would do without you" she smiled.
"Goodnight Mrs leverson and goodbye children" I smiled and waved at them all.
"Say goodbye to the sister now children" Mrs leverson ordered them.
"Bye Madeline" the children smiled hugging my leg tightly.
"Goodbye" I smiled hugging them then leaving the flat and heading back to Nonnatus.
