We both laughed again for what felt like the 100th time in the past 5 minutes.
"So you hated your parents mentioning the word breast?" I laughed again.
"Yes" he laughed with me.
"Well here we are" I said as we stood outside Nonnatus house.
"Yes indeed we are" he smiled at me.
"Thank you for walking me home Timothy"
"It was my honour" he said making me chuckle.
"Well I will see you later Dr Turner" I smiled at him.
"Of course goodnight sister" he smiled at me one last time before heading off.
"Goodnight" I replied parking my bike and taking my bag off the back. I headed inside and took my bike into the medical room. Then I headed into the chapel to make up for missing holy compline earlier. I began to pray saying it all in my head.
"Dear lord please forgive me for I have sined, lord you know my sin, I pray everyday twice a day for over 5 years. I prayed for her and I prayed for my mother now I pray for myself. Please guide me lord and show me the way" I said in my head. Suddenly, sister julienne appeared beside me startling me.
"Oh sister you scared me" I jumped.
"Sorry sister, I just wanted to check on you without interrupting your prayers" she said.
"I'm fine sister, it was a difficult birth but Dr Timothy Turner and I got through it" I smiled.
"Good to hear" she smiled "now go and get into bed and sleep" she smiled at me.
"I missed this evening's holy communion and I wanted to make up for it" I smiled.
"By my orders you are to go straight to bed and not wake up until I come and retrieve you" she said standing up helping me up.
"But I don't want to miss communion again" I said.
"Just go and I will wake you" she smiled pushing me towards the door.
I smiled at her and began heading upstairs to my room. I took my wimple and shoes off and fell to the bed not bothering to change my clothes. I fell to sleep almost instantly. Dreaming of days in the sun where I could run my feet in the sand and feel the wind in my hair.
