Chapter 34

I woke up from the sound of beeping. I groaned and rolled over but to come into contact with another body. I opened my eyes and tiny bit to see Tom. With is eyes shut sleeping peacefully. He looked adorable when he slept. I knew we should both probably be getting up for training but what could 5 minutes really do. I re shut my eyes and cuddled up to Tom a bit more. He must of suddenly heard his alarm because he fiddled around his bedside table and once he finally found it, he hit snooze and pulled me closer to him. I smiled to myself. His mouth found its way to my ear “Morning beautiful” he whispered a massive grin spread across my face, I hid my head in the pillow and groaned again. He laughed “I don’t wanna get up, can’t I just sleep for a thousand years like sleeping beauty or something” “But even sleeping Beauty can be woken by a kiss” he said and kissed me gently on the lips. I opened my eyes and he broke away hovering above me. “Come on diver girl we best get ready” he said, I nodded and groaned again. “I’m not a morning person” I mumbled “Come on, you get ready and I put some toast on for us” Tom said “Ok” I said and sat up and stretched.

Tom went downstairs and left me to get ready. I quickly got changed into my training kit which today involved my tracksuit vest top and swimming costume on underneath. I brushed my hair back and up into a high ponytail then brushed my teeth and walked quietly downstairs, I didn’t want to wake everyone else who was asleep. I walked into the kitchen to see Tom shirt less pulling out a top from the washing machine. I smiled to myself and plonked myself down at the table, careful not to seem like I was staring at his beautiful body.

We both ate breakfast then we were off to training. Tom was going to drive us there. But we had both agreed that he would drop me off round the corner from the centre and I would walk in 15 minutes before Tom did so no one would question us. He stoped the car just round the corner from the centre and smiled “I see you later” he said and leaned in for a kiss. I kissed him back and then pulled away “See you later” I winked and got out of the car and started walking towards the centre. As soon as I had arrived Kat ran over to me and told me the plan of action for training and because I had a day off yesterday meant I had to woke extra hard. “Ok I want to start with 1 hour pool work then 2 hours gym” she said “Okay” I smiled and walked off towards the changing rooms.

I had done my hours work in the pool and I was currently on the running machine, Tom had arrived and no one had even suspected a thing. Tom was currently on the other side of the gym doing pull ups on the pull up ladder. Every now and then I would notice him looking and I would try and ignore him so Kat wouldn’t notice me looking in his direction. “Ok May you can stop now and have a break” Kat smiled. I pushed the stop button and slowed into a walk and then finally a Holt “Thanks” I said as I caught my breath back. “Be back at the trampolines in 15 minutes and I think you’ll find someone coming to watch you train” “Who?” I asked excitedly “Your dad” she smiled “Oh my God are you serious?” “Yeah he texted me about 10 minutes ago but I didn’t want to interrupt you on the machine so I thought I would wait and tell you now”. My dad hadn’t watched me train in years, he was always busy but it would be nice to see him watch me. “Ok I’ll see you in 15” I smiled and skipped to my locker to grab my phone. I had a message from Tom ‘meet me outside ;) xox’ I smiled grabbed my hoodie and ran towards the exit.

As I got outside I looked around to see if I could see him, but I couldn’t. My phone suddenly buzzed

‘I can see you :P xxx’ I turned around but saw nothing

‘Where? xxx” I replied

“Here” he whispered I suddenly felt his arms wrap around my waist and his mouth by my ear. I turned around in his arms and kissed him quickly on his cheek. “Come on” he said and grabbed my hand and pulled me round the back of the centre “Tom what if someone see’s” “No one will, live a little” he grinned. I rolled my eyes “I only have 15 minutes break my dad is actually coming to watch me” “Really aw he hasn’t done that in a while that’s funny because my mum texted Andy saying she was coming too” “that’s a scary” I laughed “Tell me about it” he said and he leant in to kiss me.

I don’t know how long we were there, but all I know it didn’t seem like 15 minutes I was suddenly snapped out of my perfect world by voices

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” Kat’s voice shouted. I jumped and away from Tom and saw Kat and Andy standing there. “Déjà vu” Tom mumbled and I laughed.  “I thought you said you had come to your senses and stopped this stupid relationship” Kat said looking directly at me “I did but you know what Kat then I realised what’s the point of being unhappy just to please 2 people, we both know our break up has affected my diving it’s been shit recently” “I can’t believe this I thought you knew better by now” she said.

“Kat maybe we have been a bit harsh” Andy suddenly said. Kat gave him a stern look “Kat there’re right” he said, Tom’s grin widened “Thanks Andy” Tom said “Yeah at least someone understands” I spat “Kat please why don’t you understand!” “What’s going on?” My dad said. My dad and Debby suddenly appeared out of no wherewith confused faces. “Do you want me to explain?” Tom whispered I nodded “Ok well Me and May are together” he said and I smiled “But Kat is just being awkward”  “I’m not I’m just thinking about your career” she said. “But we’ve had this conversation Kat please”. I looked over at Debby and she was grinning “Come on Kat, you can see how happy they are” said Debby she looked like she had a tear in her eye “How long has this been going on for?” Debby asked “Since around about the time of the Olympics” Tom smiled “I wish you would of told us sooner” she smiled “We didn’t want to get caught we were worried about what everyone would say” I said “You know your dad and I wouldn’t have respected your choice”. “Dad?” I asked. I wanted to see what he had to say about this “I just want my daughter to be happy and if he makes you happy I’m happy” he said “Thanks dad” I grinned. “Ok” she said quietly “What?” “Ok but if it makes you become less focused it’s not my fault” she said and held up her hands I ran up to her and pulled her into a tight hug “Thank you thank you thank you!” “Ok ok ok” she laughed then I ran back to Tom and he kissed my cheek and whispered “Told you everything would work out”.
