CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO:

The party was in full swing when Chris and I had finally arrived from taking pictures.

"Whoa, you really went all out," Chris muttered as he stared around the room.

"You have Natalie to thank, she planned everything," I muttered back, watching in amazement as the lights on the ceiling truly did look like stars.

"Lets go have fun shall we?"

"Lets go!"

**

"Can everyone gather around as the bride and groom share their first dance together," the DJ spoke as Chris and I walked towards the center of the dance room.

"Ready?" I asked, placing my hands onto his.

"Ready," he smiled, pulling me closer to him.

The song 'It's you' by Henry played loudly as we began to dance, enjoying the moment we shared as everyone watched us with smiles on their faces.

'Cause you're the right time at the right moment. You're the sunlight, keeps my heart going. I know when I'm with you, I can't keep myself from falling. Right time at the right moment. It's you.'

I couldn't help but smile as Chris sang the song lowly, loud enough for only me to hear.

"I could listen to you sing all day," I told him, holding him tighter against me.

"Well then, I promise to sing to you every night," he replied, pulling away slightly to place a kiss onto my forehead.

"That'd be very nice," I smiled as everyone clapped around us.

"When I first agreed to marrying you, I thought it'd be a fun and easy process. Then I found out that your ex was still trying to be in the picture," he chuckled as he shook his head, "I was scared you'd choose him over me but that was before I found out of who he truly was. Seeing you have to go through that, it broke me. You're always so happy and energetic but when we arrived that day, you were just a scared and fragile girl and I swore I would never let anyone cause any harm from now on. I plan on keeping that promise."

I couldn't help but smile at him as I remembered everything that happened, "you know, even if Edward wasn't like that, even if he was a caring and nice guy, I'd still choose you. You before him. Always."

"Really?" Chris asked, tilting his head to the side, "why's that?"

"Because," I laughed, "when people are meant to be together, nothing can stop them from being together. It's the laws of the universe."

"You're weird, you know that, right?"

"Way to ruin the moment," I groaned, leaning my head against his chest while Chris laughed.

"Sorry princess," he laughed, "someone had to do it and since Felix isn't around, I had to do the honors."

We both laughed as we looked over at Felix, who stood shyly next to Ximena, listening intently to what she was saying.

"They'd be an interesting pair," Chris mumbled before looking over at Sam, who was currently surrounded by a group of girls, "I guess I still don't have to worry about him."

"Unless he gets someone pregnant," I added, watching as Chris's eyes went wide, "but I doubt it, he wouldn't be that stupid."

I watched Chris go quiet as he stared at me which only added to my worry.

"Would he?"

**

"And then, we both went into the photo booth and accidently knocked all the props on the floor."

Chris and I sighed as we looked between Felix and Ximena, who were both slightly intoxicated, as they sat in front of us, guilty expressions on their faces.

"We didn't mean to," Felix pouted, "we were just excited to take pictures."

"Are we in trouble?" Ximena asked, her eyes going slightly wide as she looked over at Felix.

"No way, Chris and Bethany would never get us in trouble."

"You take care of this," I groaned as I turned to look at Chris, "I'm way too tired."

"Why me? I'm tired too! Plus, they're your friends," he shot back.

"Felix is your best friend so he's yours to look after," I shot back, placing my hands on my hips.

"And Ximena is your friend so she's yours to look after!" Chris replied, hands going on his hips as well.

And not once while arguing did we notice the two culprits get away, both laughing silently.
