The guests start arriving. First of the lot was my aunty.

"Tyler see how much you've grown. What is all these things jotting out from your face" aunt Rose says to me. Rose is my dads sister and she is annoying. In all fairness I'm agitated because I low key want to know who the fuck Caitlyn was asking lexy about.

"Hey rose". I walk past her to go fetch my tag along.

Lynnea is waiting outside her house and my God she looks damn gorgeous. Her hair is curled in bouncy locks, she's in a blue dress that's fits tight to her skin and she's in silver heels. I found her beyond attractive right now. Her eyes are more prominent than ever before. Maybe its because of her make up and the sunset hitting her full on in the face making her blue eyes look orange.

I walk up her driveway and her dad comes to me first. Dr.Bliare looks like a doctor today. His got his stethoscope around his neck and his white coat on.

"Its good to see you being a good friend to my daughter. Please have her back before midnight and next weekend her moms moving this side. You and your siblings are more than welcome to join us and meet my wife Renee". His speaking so fast. I get the impression his in a rush. True to my thoughts he walks of and goes straight to his garage. He pulls out with a Mercedes Benz s63 and I can't help but adore the car. In his garage there's a G-class parked next to an old mustang that looks messed up. A little work and the car would be as good as new.

"Your dad loves his cars" I state the obvious.

"Walk with me before we go" I listen to her and follow her to the back in silence. My word this house is huge the back yard has a pool twice the size of mine and there's a porch decorated with fancy outdoor chairs. The garden is filled with a tennis court and basketball court as well as a tree house. On the furthest side there's another building.

We walk into the building and it's a full sized workshop. In this workshop there is an old fashioned Rolls Royce and a blue Corvette. Against the wall stands a huge bar like the one you see in a casino and the front of the bar is open all the way out that you can see the pool. The other side of the room looks like an entertainment room and my fuck it is amazing. One side of the room has a motor raceway theme and the other side has a Las Vegas theme.

"You love cars as much as my dad does" she's speaking more to herself than she is to me.

"I thought you guys just moved here" I raise my eyebrows at her.

"Yeah I just moved here my dad has been staying here for the past two years. I've been living with my aunt in New York. My mom lived there with me for a while and then she and my dad got back together so here I am" she twirls her thumbs around each other " I have one more thing to show you and then we can leave" she walks through the entrance and waits for me to follow.

We walk to the front yard again and she takes me inside the house. The interior is beautiful. They have a spiral staircase and the dining room is something out of The Great Gatsby mansion. She pulls out something from a filing cabinet and hands it to me. I open the file and read it. I didn't expect to find this. The file is my dads old medical report.

"That's why I've been asking you about your dad" she points to it. "Did you ever find the shooter ?"

"My mother told me the cause of his death was the accident.  She said he lost control and flipped the car. I didn't even know his actual cause of death was a bullet to the head. I drop the file in terror. "How is that your dad has this file if my dad died four years ago and your dad only moved here two years ago".

"My dad brought a bunch of old medical files that they were going to throw out by mistake the other day. The surname on the file caught my eye and I knew that the person was related to you. I looked through it and realized it was your dads file. This was the day before you could tell my dad and I that you lost your father".

I'm putting this at the back of my head. I can't over react now but I will deal with it later. "Let's go".

On the way to my house she just stared at me in silence and touched my arm and then pulled away a few times.

The pure and utter silence between us was electrifying. Each passing moment sent more threads of anger down my spine. I felt nothing but anger.

"Talk to me" I eventually break the silence. "Calm me down before I make a scene with my mother".

"Okay Tyler. Here's a topic for you. Clear these mixed signals you give me. One moment you pull me close to you the next you close yourself off from me. Tyler I don't know what it is but i know you feel it to. There is something between us and i want it to happen,  but it won't ever escalate to that stage if you keep on blocking me".

Trust this women to move from a serious conversation to an even more serious conversation.

"No Tyler it's okay that's not fair of me. I'm sorry but we not done here I hope you remember that".

I'm relieved because she doesn't push any further. She respects me and I do her and this establishment of respect is the basis we need in order to grow.
