It had been a couple weeks since the Sherry incident. I had my guard up, but I'm sure Sherry did too. Yeah these hormones had me on edge, I couldn't tell which edge but on an edge. Some of the things I had been doing made me worry about this baby. When I lost Huck, he was fully formed, he looked like a baby, just a very tiny baby, I hadn't thought about Huck in a long time. I wonder how different things would've been had Huck been born when he was supposed to, the relationship Scout and Huck would've had, their silly laughs filling a room.

I couldn't think about what could've been for too long, because it was still painful. I often wondered how Daryl would've handled a newborn baby, but that wonder would soon be answered with a new baby on the way, I hoped. I was as far along as I was when I lost Huck. So every day that passed was a relief, but also brought on anxiety. I was only saying all of this because we would soon start telling people we were expecting.

Right now we were getting dinner, eating quietly, Daryl smirking at me every now then.

"What?" I grumbled at him.

"It's been fun having a secret is all." Daryl said amused.

"Yeah well, coming to an end soon." I said in my moody attitude that I had acquired lately.

"So are you telling Morgan tomorrow then?" Daryl asked me for clarification.

"Yeah I am, and everyone else." I smiled.

"Good cause this was eating me alive." Daryl groaned.

"Oh my god same." I sighed heavily. We knew I was pregnant early, so we've known for several months.

We finished up our dinner and headed for our sheet room, changing out of our clothes, and getting comfortable in bed. Scout already in bed, completely passed out, that kid worked too hard. Once we were in bed Daryl brought his hand to the small mound that was my belly, I was able to hide my baby belly in large tee shirts, and according to my math I was four to five months along, halfway done. I was one of those lucky people that didn't get very big during pregnancy, my first pregnancy I looked like I was trying to hide a small melon under my sweater. With the second pregnancy I looked bloated or like I had a big meal, but this one I was feeling a lot bigger, but maybe that was because things were more relaxed and I was able to eat six times a day if I wanted.

"This one's always moving around." Daryl said moving down the bed to cuddle with my belly.

"Sitting, standing, laying down, don't matter, it's all the time." I grumbled tiredly.

"What calms him down?" Daryl asked.

"When I'm moving." I shrugged. "Wait did you say he?" I looked down at Daryl.

"Yeah." He smiled.

"What makes you so sure it's a boy?" I asked.

"I don't know I just said it." Daryl shrugged.

"Well I'm hoping for a girl, with your eyes, and strength." I smiled.

"As long as she's beautiful like her momma." Daryl came back up next to me, kissing my lips and pulling me against him, the baby kicking at him. "That feels weird." Daryl laughed a little looking at my belly that was pressed against his.

"Yeah I don't think I'll ever get used to it." I muttered. Daryl began kissing me slowly and passionately, bringing me so much joy in this moment.
