It had been a couple weeks since Sherry's arrival, and neither of us mentioned what happened between us. Tonight Sherry and I were on watch on the roof today, and I was dreading it. I was getting my gear together for my shift, Daryl was out hunting with Scout again. Man it was starting to get lonely, Scout didn't really need me anymore; just to pull his long hair back out of his face, but he didn't need me for anything else. He was a very independent seven year old, and really didn't need me.
Daryl and I wanted more kids, but things started to get complicated, and as busy as we were we couldn't bring another baby into the mix. In the end we decided to go ahead and go for it. We figured we would make it work, because now was the best time as any. Daryl and I were thrilled for another baby, the fact this one seemed like it was sticking around made us more excited. We still hadn't told Scout, I didn't want him to live through that heartbreak again.
There was talk of expansion, and building houses that would be adding to our work load, but it would be appreciated around here, some people had nothing to do several days in a row. I began lacing up my boots, when Daryl and Scout returned.
"Hey baby." I said as Daryl entered the room.
"Hey." Daryl dropped his bag by the bed. "Got a shift tonight?" Daryl asked as he started wiping blood from his hands, plopping down on the bed next to me.
"Yeah. Catch anything while you were out?" I asked.
"Yeah, a deer, and some rabbits." Daryl grumbled as he finished cleaning his hands. "How's that garden coming?"
"Things just began to sprout." I smirked.
"I'm gonna get something to eat for me and Scout, and I'll get him to bed." Daryl said simply.
"Where is he anyway?" I asked.
"Went looking for Charlie." Daryl smirked.
"When did he grow up already?" I laughed a little. If this seemed like a boring conversation, that's cause it was, this was like all we talked about now.
"Get anything to eat before you go out?" Daryl asked, knowing I was bad about eating.
"Yeah, I did eat, I'm fine." I smirked, then gave his lips a quick peck.
"You know I'm just looking out for ya." Daryl kissed my cheek.
"I better go, I know what it's like to wait for someone to take your shift." I laughed a little.
"Well enjoy your shift." Daryl stood from the bed and wrapped his arms around me. I hugged him back, taking in discreet whiffs of his smell that I missed.
"I love you, see you in the morning." I gave him a soft kiss, Daryl caressing my belly a moment.
"Love you too babe." Daryl kissed me once more, then it turned into a long passionate kiss.
"I really do have to go." I said pulling away.
"Ten minutes." Daryl said between kisses against my neck.
"Only ten minutes, huh?" I said jokingly. "How long you been wanting this?"
"All day." Daryl grunted as he pressed firmly against me.
"Ten minutes." I kissed him teasingly.
We fell back on the bed, holding each other close, covering one another in kisses. Since time was of the essence, we just dropped our pants and went at it. The rush was exhilarating, and a few moans escaped my lips, Daryl putting his mouth back over mine.
"You have to be quiet, there are a lot of people around us right now." Daryl said quietly.
"Then finish." I whispered playfully. Daryl picked up his pace, trying to hurry and finish as requested. It only took a few more minutes before he came, slowly rocking his hips around before planting one more kiss on me and climbed off of me.
