The bus ride was the longest ride of my life. It was hot, and crowded, and my seat was torn. I flip through the campsite brochure. The place we'll be going is gorgeous! Northern Nevada, and not far from Lake Tahoe. We'll be just on the edge of the forest, and.....SCREECH! The bus came to a halt, and everyone jolted forward, as if we were being pushed off of a skyscraper. I looked out the window. Tall pine trees and cabins were everywhere.
"We're here!" the bus driver called out. Everyone let out sighs of relief, and grabbed their luggage. We pushed through the narrow space again, and stepped out into nature. We all gathered in the center of the campsite, and our cabins were assigned to us. I got to share a cabin with my friends, Jordan, Ariana and Candy, along with four girls I don't know. We enter our cabins, settle in and put our luggage on our beds.
"I'm so happy to see you again!" Candy says to me, giving me a big hug, as I do the same. Her blond hair is pulled up in a ponytail by a thick, pink scrunchy.
"Me too!" I exclaim. Jordan and Ariana join the party. When we break the group hug, one of the girls in our cabin introduces herself.
"Hey, I'm Mariana." She says. Her raven hair is also pulled up in a ponytail.
"And I'm Alison, and this is Diana and Rita." Alison says. She has blond hair, like Candy. Rita has brown hair, almost the shade of brown that mine is.
I introduce myself, and all of us become fast friends. I look at my phone. It's a quarter till nine.
The breakfast bell rings, and we all rush out of our cabins, like starving wild, carnivorous animals given meat.
