It was getting dark, and the search was over for the night. We headed back to the campsite, with concern and disappointment. We did not find the girls. By the time we got back to our cabins, it was pitch black outside. We found out that no one else had found the girls either. We were worried and exhausted. I looked at my phone to check the time, but it was dead. I hadn't charged it since yesterday morning. I plugged it into the outlet, and waited. Who cares what time it is? All I know is that it's late, and dark, and sad. Instead of playing poker with Jordan tonight, I'll just pray and hope that I can do that tomorrow. I know that Ariana offered to play poker with me, but it just won't be the same. Jordan is the BEST and most annoying poker opponent, which makes her my favorite. I always thought that I could talk to her every day. I took her for granted, and now I miss her--really badly. How could our friendship, not just our friendship, our very lives come to this? Why did this calamity have to happen now? We were supposed to have the time of our lives this summer, but now..we can't. Hey, the summer's not over. I still could have the time of my life with my BFF. We could have such a story to tell...if she comes back.
