I woke up to the sweet smell of breakfast.

Bacon, eggs and pancakes. I could smell it all from upstairs.

I got up and brushed my hair quickly. I opened my door and hurried downstairs. Sitting at the table, I said good morning to my mother and father. The breakfast was soon finished and placed in front of me. I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I devoured it, and flushed down with some orange juice. I got up and said thank you to my parents. I put the plate into the sink and jogged upstairs. I walked to my room and got changed into baggy jeans with a white t-shirt tucked into them. Along with my white converse and a silver necklace I got for my 13th birthday.

I decided to go for another walk since I one, had nothing to do and two, I didn't quite get to see a lot of the town.

I ran downstairs grabbing my skateboard and telling my parents I was going for a walk. I opened the door and put the skateboard on the ground, starting to ride. My ride was then interrupted by someone screaming "HEY."

I was startled and tripped on a sidewalk crack which caused me to go flying off my skateboard right on the sidewalk. It wasn't as bad as it sounds but it still was embarrassing.

I looked up to see the same group of boys I saw yesterday. My face started to heat up and got really red so I quickly got up, picked up my skateboard, and started to walk away. I was stopped when one of the boys who seemed Latino said ," You're the new neighbor right? You should come hang with us."

He seemed excited but after what just happened I politely replied," maybe later, i got to get going" and walked off.

I took one last glance at the boys and one caught my eye. He was tall for his age and had olive brown skin and brown eyes. Definitely the cutest one out of the group. I shrugged the thought off and continued my walk.

I arrived back home at about 1:38, but it was now 2:15. I had been rearranging some things since then.

About a minute after I decided to take a break, I heard something hit my window. I didn't bother to look since it was probably the wind or a tree. Until i heard the same sound from my window again. I got up to see what was causing it, only to see the group of boys again. I shrugged the whole incident from earlier off because it didn't matter and opened my window. I simply said "yes?"

The Latino boy who asked me to hang out before spoke up,"It's later."
