I woke up abruptly and bolted up to see the time on my mini clock next to my dresser. 8:55. shit. I have to be at Geos field at 9. It's a ten minute walk but a 3 minute run.

I threw on a random shirt and pants and bolted downstairs. I told my parents prior about the game so they didn't worry too much when they saw me practically throw myself out the door.

I was so close to the field and ended up making it there just it time.

"Where have you been?" questioned Ale.

"I accidentally woke up late but I ran here as fast as-"

I was cut off by Geo yelling my name.

"Be right back Ale" I smiled and ran off.

"Hey" I smiled at the boy.

"Hey" he said returning the smile.

"Goodluck" I said giving him a side hug.

"You as well" he gushed.

Mattia watched in disgust along with the other boys.

"Let's go smalls" he stated while rolling his eyes.

I ran over to the boys as they were going over positions. I was put at first base. We were up first to bat.

Every one of us hit the ball earning a base or sometimes a home run. The other team was losing bad and I enjoyed playing competitively for once.

We agreed to stop once it started to get dark and it didn't seem to far away.

Eventually after the game went on the same for hours we stopped. Geos team was annoyed but Geo himself didn't see too bothered. The boys loved shoving the win the the other teams face, it was the best form of entertainment for them.

"Good game Smalls" Geo came up and said.

"Why thank you. You as well" I smiled.

"Judging on the score, I think the last part or your sentence was sorta a lie." I chuckled and he continued on. "maybe sometime we can hang out or something" he nervously spoke.

"yeah of course" I replied happily.

"Well I'll see you around" he hugged me and walked away.

The boys were furious especially Mattia.

"Are you kidding me?" he spit out.

"He's nice to me. Don't involve me in your drama Polibio" i said.

"I know but out of all people Smalls?" Kairi complained.

"It's nothing serious come on guys" I said walking away.

They shrugged it off and followed me but Mattia stayed back a bit and still looked pissed.

We ended heading to a small park in town. We all went around to the slides, swings, and sea saws. I was swinging on the swing and Ale came up to swing on the one next to me.
"Hey" he said calmly.

"Hey" I replied looking down at my swinging feet. "You know what's up with Mattia?" I questioned pointing to the boy sitting on the bench, he looked sad.

"nah, he's been acting different lately" Ale replied

"hmm" i whispered deciding to not continue on with the conversation.

We ended heading home around 8 and I said my goodbyes. For once, Mattia actually said bye.

Surprising.

I walked inside to see my parents had board games laid out in the living room.

I smiled and walk towards them saying my hellos while giving them each a kiss on the cheek.

We ended up playing board games for an hour and I put them away when we finished. I strolled off to my room and plopped myself on the cozy, comforting bed I longed for all day.

I quickly dozed off in a deep sleep forgetting about brushing my teeth, showering, changing, and even taking my shoes off.

It was quite the day.

I tried a new writing style because the other one was kinda annoying. Anyways i don't know about the book y'all don't seem to like it too much😭 lmk if i should continue da story pls😳
