Can A Vampire Love?

Burn. It burned so much. His chest felt like it was on fire, every move he made was painful. His back was sore and his fingers felt numb, his teeth felt strange. The brunette stood in the shower with his head completely under the water that sprayed down on him, his eyes were closed and his head was tilted down. He put his hand on his chest and slightly winced in pain. There was this strange sensation coursing through his veins causing him to breath heavily. What the hell was going on with him? Why was he feeling like this?

"Damn...it hurts so much..." he mumbled under his breath, he would've stood there longer in the water, letting his skin wrinkle if he didn't hear a knock on the door and Levi's voice following soon after,

"Babe? You ok in there?"

"Y-Yeah I'm fine! I'll be out in a minute!"

The brunette turned the water off and wrapped his waist in a towel, he took a deep breath trying to shake off the painful sensation flowing through his body. When he opened the door, the raven haired vampire was standing there with his arms crossed.

Eren winced in pain when Levi pinned him against the wall and stared at him with a stern expression, "I know you're lying to me. Tell me the truth Eren, are you ok?"

The brunette sighed and looked away from the raven shaking his head in denial.

"I'm fi-Ah!"

The young boy yelled out in pain when Levi poked him in the chest. The raven's eyes widened and he instantly picked the boy up carrying him to the bed.

"Levi! I'm still in my towel!"

"Shut up."

Levi placed the brunette down gently and put his head against the boy's forehead "You have a fever...damn it..."

"Levi, I'm fine...you can calm down."

"No Eren...you don't understand...when I saved you...I...never mind..."

Eren looked at the raven with confusion What did he do to save him that day? Why can't he know about it? Maybe he should just wait for Levi to be ready to tell him...I mean he's gonna have to tell him at one point...

"It's ok Levi. You can tell me when you're ready." The raven smirked down at the brunette and walked over to the bedroom door, opening it slightly,

"HANJI! GET YOUR ASS IN HERE NOW!"

"It's nothing too serious. He just needs some rest and he'll be as good as new tomorrow." The werewolf stated with a wide smile, Eren nodded in response and closed his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep. Levi looked at Hanji and they both left the room.

"Hanji. If it's nothing too serious then why is he in so much pain? I don't like seeing him like that."

"I only said that because Eren was in the room. You know you should really start thinking about telling him. It's gonna come crashing down on you if you don't."

The raven sighed "Yeah I know. He told me I can tell him when I'm ready and right now I'm not ready."

The werewolf shook her head and looked Levi in the eyes "He's hurting because of what we did. His body is reacting again, but not like last time when he completely transformed, this time his body is just trying to get used to the blood that's in him now. He will be ok by tomorrow...but he may have some new abilities as well."

"Abilities...as in some of our abilities?"

Hanji nodded and let out a sigh "That's why you need to tell him. And also I'm sure you're aware that the meeting Nile requested with King Pixis is today..."

"Yes I'm very much aware. I can't seem to stay calm."

"Don't worry Levi, once I sense any sort of violence towards Eren, I'll leave that castle and come here right away. He's a good kid, I like him. And that means I'll protect him as well."

Levi smiled lightly and placed his hand on the werewolf's shoulder "Thanks Hanji. But be careful too, alright? I can't have you dying."

"Yes sir."

"Come on Levi. What's the deal? I was about to make a new dish for Eren's dinner tomorrow."

Oluo, Petra, Eld and Erwin were all standing in Levi's office.

"Nile's gonna tell King Pixis about Eren."

Everyone's eyes widened and they all clenched their fists.

"We'll protect him!" Erwin shouted as he stepped forward "You have my word that I will not let any harm come to Eren."

"Yes. We all care about Eren, we would be ashamed of ourselves if he got hurt." Petra stated.

"Kid's got good taste! My number one customer, there's no way I'll let him die on me now." Oluo shouted as he dusted pretend dust off his shoulders.

"Eren's to nice and caring to die, no way will I let anyone lay a finger on him." Eld had a slight smirk on his face as the words left his mouth.

"I knew you guys wouldn't let me down. Thank you. All of you. You've been very loyal guards since day one, I know I can trust you."

They all nodded in response and Levi made his way out the room. He needed to go check on Eren and see how the brat was feeling.

When he was about halfway to their room, he heard loud sobbing and quickly sprinted down the hall. He burst through the door in panic,

"Eren what's wro-"

The raven's eyes widened as he caught a glimpse of the scene before him.

Eren was sitting on the floor on his knees staring down at his hands which were covered in blood. Tears were streaming down his face and loud sobs escaped his mouth. Next to him there was a body, it was one of Levi's maids. There was a blade in the woman's hand.

When the brunette looked up at Levi, his eyes widened and he began to cry even more.

"I-I k-killed her..."
