Crush

Lukas sat on top of one of the towers of Divinus Magia, just thinking, thinking about his new life. His new 'friends' if only could call his guildmates that. Honestly, the way David and Mario treated him reminded him of how his older brother used to treat him. He frowned at where his thoughts were heading and quickly redirected them. 

He had been shocked when Ritchie and Brandon had offered him a place in their guild. Especially since he was one of the ones responsible for all the destruction. He could still remember his fight with Brandon, though now he could feel the heat rising in his cheeks. 

He didn't know why he felt this way but lately, whenever his thoughts changed to that of the white-haired guild leader, his cheeks would turn red and he would get a warm feeling in his stomach. He didn't know exactly why he felt like this, but he had an idea of who to go to about it. 

He walked downstairs before going over to the guildhall. He didn't think she had a mission or training with Mario today so maybe she'd be there? Entering the guildhall, he smiled to see that she was sitting over at the bar. He went up and tapped her gently on the shoulder and she nearly spun around, though she relaxed seeing that it was just him. 

"Oh, hey Boat, whatcha need?" Kit asked curiously. 

"Uh well, I was wondering if I could ask you about something?" He rubbed the back of his neck, a little embarrassed at getting advice from a young girl. 

"Sure! What is it?" Kit asked looking even more curious than before. 

"Lately, I've been getting this warm feeling whenever I think somebody and I don't know why." Kit's eyes seemed to light up even as she asked. "Well do you get nervous around them as well and do you start blushing whenever you're around them?"

He gaped at her. "How did you know-" Before he could finish, she started squealing excitedly. This continued on a vein for several minutes (making Lukas glad that no one else was around) before she finally managed to calm down. 

"It sounds like you have a crush~" He felt his face go red. A crush? On Brandon? He felt the warm feeling again when he thought about it but still, he couldn't believe it. 

"A crush?!?" He asked incredulously. 

"Mmmm-hmmm, now my question is who is it?" Kit asked with a smirk. 

Lukas felt his face go an even deeper red. 

"Well um- uh-" He knew that she would keep pestering him about it but that didn't mean he wanted to say it. So he improvised. "Well he's really kind and he loves to help people, he can be pretty calm as well though he's kind of cute when he does get angry and-" He stopped himself when he realized that he had just called Brandon cute. Kit was giggling at him even as his face blushed even brighter. 

"He sounds really sweet! You should ask him out!" Kit encouraged him. 

"What? No. I can't." He shook his head. 

"Why not?" Kit asked raising an eyebrow. 

"He'd never want to go out with me-"

"How do you know that if you haven't asked him?" Kit cut him off as she gave him a hard stare. 

"I-I just know." He said looking away from her piercing stare. She opened her mouth to protest but before she could, Lukas stood up and said. "Thanks for telling me but I gotta go... think."

And before she could say another word, he ran out of the guildhall, making Kit sigh as she turned back to the bartender. 

Unknown to both of them, Brandon had been watching from above.
