It's been two days since that evening occurred. And right now, I'm at a local cafe with my laptop and notebook out - waiting to write inspiration that comes through my mind at this very moment.
And in all honesty.
It sucked.
Writer's block was a pain - and therefore - wasn't able to write something exceptionally. All I could do was gawk at the clear window, observing my surroundings and the people that strolled by. Whilst listening to music and glancing at other romance novels.
But nothing was getting to my head.
It led me to groan before taking a sip of my take-away refreshment (something that wasn't coffee) while I continued to reach out for other methods.
"Ugh, why won't this unblock," I said to myself, staring at a blank laptop screen that was accessible on a doc, that had the letters - 'LOVE'.
I unconsciously scorn at the one word, however, continued to beamed at them with utmost importance.
"Jade," A recognizable voice entered my ears
Shifting my head, I glance up to spot Luke wearing grey track pants and a shirt (that was the colour of a clear sky) over a white long-sleeve that held the word 'Y.O.U.T.H' in bold letters.
"Luke," I called out his name so surprisingly - while my heart advanced in racing once again. Just like what happened two days ago. "What are you doing here?" Curiously I questioned him.
Luke grinned. Rubbing the back of his neck before answering. "I came to buy an iced Americano,". He then pointed to the cash register behind him, "Now? I'm just waiting for my order," he added.
"I see you still like your iced Americano," I chuckled, closing my notebook and shutting my laptop - not focusing on what I was saying.
"You know what drink I like?" He said as if he was puzzled - yet it didn't seem like it

"Huh?".
I said, acting bewildered to cover myself from being blown from my younger selves observation.
"Nothing," Luke quickly said, turning his head away while I mentally screamed victoriously.
Meanwhile, I continued to pack my possessions in my bag; not noticing Luke's eyes being attentive to what I was doing.
"Where are you off to?" he questioned, interested.
Once I finished packing away my stuff, I stood up and held my drink before speaking.
"Well, I came here to find inspiration for my romance novel. And yet, I have writer's block today. So it seems that I'm heading home to try and gather it there," I informed.
Then concluding my answer with a soft nod, I almost left him without letting him speak when his hand gripped my wrist securely. Leading me to stop and shift my head in his direction with both confusion and excitement, mixing inside my body.
