Jumping out off the train, standing as I breathe heavily on the spot with my suitcase. I already felt my legs aching (I wasn't that athletic) however my mind only came towards, "Luke".
*BA-BA-BA~*
*THE TRAIN TO, NIGHTFARE CITY, WILL LEAVE SHORTLY. PLEASE STAND AWAY FROM THE CLOSING DOORS*
Once I caught my breath, I immediately rang towards the staircase; slightly observing civilians that were now running towards the train - resulting in me bumping into people. But I didn't care, using my strength to rush up the top; running on the side as I let civilians descend past me.
The sound from the whistle of the train made short, loud noises as I arrived at the top of the stairs - now rushing towards the exit to immediately spot Marcus and Penelope sitting in their car with the windows down.
"Penelope!?" I called her name.
Whatever they did, they stopped and turned their heads to see me in a baffled, yet a breathy state. "What are you doing here?" I rush towards them.
"We're waiting for Luke," Marcus replied.
"Really, where is he?" I asked swiftly.
"He went inside moments ago," Penelope said.
I groaned in frustration, "Just remind me of my suitcase," I instructed them.
Without hearing their reply, I rush back in - looking through the clear glass walls to see the train slowly moving - slowly increasing its speed faster.
"Luke, where are you?" I thought mentally, running not as hard as before, searching for him through the journey of the platform.
Grabbing my phone, I pressed my contact icon, skimming the names until I pressed on Luke - tapping the phone icon. Hearing it faintly ringing, I place it next to my ear, wear the ringing noise of a phone becoming louder.
"Come on, pick up," I mumbled in a breathy tone.
I let it ring for a few moments, but the voice that I was longing to hear wasn't the present one.
*Hello, this is Luke. Unfortunately, I am unable to answer y-*
I ended the call, placing it in my pocket as I reached the staircase; descending as I skim the platform. Already seeing the train speeding.
"JADE!"
My eyes looked at the left direction of the platform. Trying to spot Luke who I was confident that he called my name - even though I heard it faintly.
"Luke" I mumbled under my breath, coming to my senses before I called his name louder, "LUKE!"
I stopped at the bottom of the stairs. Looking around whilst I take deep breaths, I skim the civilians that surrounded my vision before I jogged further in the platform.
"Luke!" I called again. Using my strength to oppose the heavy force of my shoulder bumping with other people.
