All agreeing, I helped James with his bags (while Luke did the same with Lance) placing it in his lime sports car as Luke placed Lance's luggage in Amanda's car - to find Kane in the driver's seat. Kane was wearing his sunglasses that looked like he was in those 'Fast & Furious' movies.

"Okay, everyone is here except for Andrew," James said, leaning against the driver's seat.

"Oh wait, I got a text from," Luke said, opening his phone to read the message, "He said that he's already there and waiting for Penelope to finish cooking," Luke paused sighing, placing his phone back in his pocket, "Plus he sent a picture of him about to draw on her husband's face,"

"We got to go then," I said, hastening to Luke's car (to seize my things) placing it inside James's sports car trunk.

"Quickly Luke, grab your things and put it in Kane's car, you're going with them," James instructed.

With no arguments, I see Luke gazing at me for a moment before nodding his head and going to his car to get his things. Apart of me wanted to swap with Lance, but I knew that it would be awkward after what happened last night - I was following Luke's figure with my eyes (that was locking his car and began walking towards Kane's car) to see him staring at me once more - making my heart race before he shifted back and fully disappeared in Kane's car. I sighed out loud once he was gone before hopping inside the passenger's seat - while James did the same.

"We got a lot to talk about," James said before twisting the engine on and driving to the house with Kane's car soon trailing.

Once I explained to James everything that happened last night, the only response I got from him was nothing. He was speechless as his eyes were on the road, making sure that we weren't in any danger.

"Did you process that right?" I questioned him.

"So let me get this straight," He began, "He thought you guys were in an actual relationship only for you to crush this relationship and tell him that you weren't - even though you wanted it to be real?" He repeated.

"Hey~ I ain't the bad guy," I said offended by James's saying, "Plus, it's not my fault he didn't ask," I huffed.

"But bro, we are living in the modern area; meaning, that girls can ask their crushes to be their boyfriend or girlfriend," James explained, "So why ain't you catching up with the time," James said sassily, as I imagine him wanting to snap the fingers at me - but fortunately he was driving.

I sigh sinking in my leather chair. "I don't know," I pouted, "I just wanted him to do it," I added.

"Well, maybe he knew that you felt the same way," James thought out loud.

"Yeah but," I sighed heartlessly, sitting up straight to look at James who had his eyes on the road. "What if he's feeling pity for me. I told him about my first dates, he met my siblings, he told me that he was falling for me - he even told others that I was his girlfriend and in the end. I began thinking that this was a real relationship," I take a deep breath, "I mean, from what I know, he's probably making me a rebound to Amanda; he still has feelings for her and ever since he just - came into my life, it has been in shambles," I finished, breathing heavily with all this ranting.

For a few moments, there was silence in the car - however not long enough to let the tension rise between the two of us as James hastily spoke - "I think you're just overthinking this. I mean, what if he does have true feelings for you?" James questioned, while I was silent - thinking of James' plausible scenario that made my heartbeat race. "Maybe reading too many romantic novels gave you this perception of how love is supposed to work. But in truth, these romance novels are ideas and desires of what others want - I mean sure they can be true - however, it's a one in a millionth that comes rarely. Love is supposed to happen naturally not forcefully. If you wanted Luke to ask you I don't mind, but don't doubt his 'love' for you because of reality - give him time to process what he needs to do to win you over," James finished, allow complete silence for me to process his words into my head. Gawking at him, my jaw dropped to the floor of the car.

"Woah," was what I said, still amazed by what he said; while on the other hand, he was unphased by this.

The stoplight ahead of us quickly turned to an orange, allowing James to slow down the car and make a complete stop before he turned to me - giving me a weird and uncomfortable glare.

"Could you not, it's creeping me out," He said, turning back to the road.

"I'm sorry," I apologised, still baffled by his words from moments before I said "Woah" knowing that this was the word I could say (and describe) right now.

With me repeating the word (James seemed to catch on to what I was thinking) leading him to chuckle.

"You should quickly move on, there are good things that come out of my mouth," He said.

I scoffed and looked at the front of the road too. "The only thing that comes out of your mouth are stupid words," I said.

We both laughed like children as he continued to drive his car (once the traffic lights turned green) proceeding to act like children as we laughed - but also being safe on the road.
