"So, how do we beat him?" Isabelle asked while looking at Magnus. 

"You really don't think that you can beat him, do you?" Magnus looked perplexed at the idea. He normally was the optimistic one, but he also knew his boundaries. A trait some of his Shadowhunter friends don't possess. He wasn't going to call names.

"Well, he should have some weaknesses. I mean, he was banished from Heaven. It would surprise me if he is as strong here as in Heaven." Clary looked hopeful. 

"Well, brace yourself to be surprised then." Magnus stood up and walked to his kitchen. 

Alec looked apologetic to his friends and went after his husband. Clary raked a hand through her hair. The situation was severely messed up that it caused a headache to form on her temple. 

"Magnus," Alec called out to his husband. 

"Not now, Alec." Magnus looked sad, defeated even.

"What's got you so pessimistic? I haven't seen you like this since the time you lost your magic." 

"It's just. . . Raziel has the power to obliterate every warlock on Earth. He could take my magic away with one snap of his fingers. It unnerves me."

"Hey, look at me." He tilted Magnus' chin so that he looked at Alec.

"That is not going to happen. I'll make sure of it. We'll all make sure of it." Alec drew Magnus in for a hug.

"I hope so," Magnus sighed sadly.

"So, what are his weaknesses?" Izzy asked.

Magnus and Alec had returned from the kitchen and they were currently all seated on the couch. Now, they just needed a plan -a good one at that- to take Raziel down.

"He needs me for something. I know that for sure. He stabbed me in my thighs but didn't kill me. He said and I quote: 'I need you alive.'.  And, if I'm not mistaken, he's hunting me right now. So, I'm his weakness. The key part of his plan."

"You want to be the bait." Magnus had caught up with what Clary was saying.

"No way. No way in hell would I let you be the bait." Jace stood up from the couch and looked at Magnus threateningly. 

"Jace." Clary grabbed her lover's arm and urged him to sit down.

"Just listen, Ok?" Clary looked at him.

Jace grunted and nodded.

"We could. . . Lure him in." Magnus began. And so, the plan was forming.

Well, we're finally getting somewhere! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. I know that I did. Fun fact: we always set our Christmas tree like only days before the big day. This year we set it up a day before Christmas. I think it's quite funny though. No one in my household likes setting up that damn tree. So, my sister and I took the initiative. And thus,  the tree was set.
