Shadowhunters Season 4

CHRISTMAS CHAPTER

Heads up, this isn't really part of the story, it won't affect the storyline. This is just meant to be a chapter filled with joy and no worries. In honor of Christmas.

~Clary~

"How does it look?" I ask Jace as I hang the last ornament on the Christmas tree. Jace taps his chin with his index finger multiple times and looks at me. 

"I'd say it's well done, but it's not finished yet."

"What do you mean?" I ask him.

"It needs the finishing touch." Jace pulled me towards him and kissed me, leaving me breathless. 

Immediately, I become red and look at him with joy in my eyes. "You really couldn't wait, did you?"  

"With you? Never." He steals another kiss. 

The sound of someone clearing their throat reached our ears and we separated. I turn around and see Alec giving us a look while Magnus is holding his arm. "Please don't go making out in front of the tree," Alec groans.

Jace grins and begins to slowly pull me closer in his embrace. 

"Don't. You. Dare. Herondale." Izzy comes running in the room with a spatula in hand and an apron tied around her slim waist. 

"I guess that I'll go and help Izzy in the kitchen." I start to walk to Izzy, but Jace pulls me back. 

He leans to me and whispers in my ear.

"Make sure that you don't burn the institute down."

I tilt my head and look at him with a 'do-you-really-think-that-that-will-happen' face. "Just making sure." He puts his hands up in a defensive manner.

I shake my head and link arms with Isabelle, skipping to the kitchen.

"Guys! Come to the library!" I shout while sitting by the tree, grinning like an idiot.

"What's the matter?" Alec asks while entering the library, the rest in tow.

"Present time!" Simon pushes past Alec and sits cross-legged next to me. 

Once everyone was seated, I handed my first present to Isabelle.

She unwrapped it and squealed. "Thank you, Clary!" She embraces me and shows everyone the pair of heels she got from me.

"How much did those even cost?" Jace raises his eyebrows.

"I inherited my mom's money when I went back into the mundane world. Apparently, she was a tad bit  richer than I thought." 

"Okay, Alec, this is for you." I handed him his wrapped gift.

He unwrapped it and revealed a brand new silver bow with runes carved into it. 

"Thanks." 

I smile at him.

"Magnus." I hand him his gift.

It was the newest eyeliner from Maybelline New York. He looked at me and smiled in thanks. I grabbed the gift meant for Simon and he opened it.

He revealed multiple mangas, all limited edition. "Thanks, Fray."

I grabbed the last gift and gave it to Jace. He showed us the card with confusion.

"What is this?" 

"Open it."

"Merry Christmas. . . Dad?" he read the card out loud, still confused.

I smile at him hoping he would get it. He still looked confused.

I sigh and stand up. "You're going to be a dad, silly!"

His eyes widen comically and he jumps up, hugging the life out of me.

"I'm going to be a dad!" he yells gleefully for all to hear.

I smile at him and give him a peck. 

"You better babyproof the entire institute, Herondale", Simon says while patting Jace on his shoulder. 

"You finally knocked her up, huh?" Mangus butts in.

I give him a pointed look and he cracks up, laughing. "Congratulations, biscuit."

"Well, you already have a babysitter accounted for." Izzy has her hand on Simon's shoulder.

"I'll make sure that Izzy doesn't poison the kid with her food." He smiles at me.

"Thanks, I appreciate it. Both of you." I look at Izzy.

"And it'll give us some training for when we have a kid of our own," Izzy adds.

My eyebrows raise. 

I sigh and look at my family.

"Well, Merry Christmas." I rub my flat stomach and smile.

I'm home.

Tadaaaa! That was the Christmas chapter for this year. I hope y'all enjoyed it. I did! I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. You know the drill. As I said, this isn't a continuation for the story. Just for Christmas.
