"Are you sure that he's going to be there?" Clary asked Magnus while grabbing her kindjals. Magnus smiled reassuringly at Clary and laid a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sure of it. My confidant has never lied to me before. His intel is reliable."
"Thanks for doing this. I appreciate it. Without you, we wouldn't even know what the Spiritfoots are." She zipped her black jacket up and shot one last look at the warlock before strutting to her parabatai.
"You ready to rumble?" Izzy asked the redhead. "As ready as I can be." Clary blew out a breath through her pink lips and turned to her lover.
"I love you, you know?" He embraced Clary in his arms and nuzzled his head in her shoulder. Clary blushed and snuggled into his arms.
"I love you too," she mumbled while inhaling his delicious colonge.
"Are we all set?" Alec asked while looking around.
"I guess so." Clary looked at the rest and they all nodded.
Alec sighed. "Then let's go catch this bastard."

They all were stationed in a warehouse not too far from the New York institute -that was currently being rebuilt from the attack. Alec was pretty relieved when the coucil finally got to a decision. He was even more pleased when the majority voted for the New York institute to be rebuilt. Of course, he was very adamant about that, but he still needed the votes for it.
He wasn't the only one with power in the council. It simply doesn't work that way in a democracy. But he did have something that the other council members didn't have. The right of Veto. It means that when the majority has voted on a decision, and he doesn't like that decision, he just has to say 'Veto' and the decision won't go through. Only the most powerful person in the room has that right.
Alec -of course- tries not to use it too much because it makes you feel like a jerk. He sees the hope on some of the council members their faces, and when he says the word, their expression goes from hopeful to crushed. But sometimes, he just has to use it when the council comes to unbelievably, downright, stupid decisions. One time, he had to use it, because if he didn't, the Shadow-world would go back to the 18th century. He did not want that. He wants the Shadow-world to modernize.
At last, they were positioned, one Shadowhunter insight, the others veiled in darkness.
"Raziel!" Clary shouted. "I know you're here! Show yourself!" (MAJOR FROZEN 2 VIBES).
Suddenly, the laugh of a man was heard paired with slow clapping. It was the laugh of a man they all knew and despised.
"You petty Shadowhunters really do think that you can defeat me. Quite pitiful, really, but oh well, I'm not going to stop you. By all means, try, but I can't guarantee that you'll get out of this alive, of course. Now, where are your friends? I'd love to give them a tour." At the end of his speech, Raziel was all but speaking quietly.
"I didn't bring my friends. I came all alone. I blackmailed Magnus for knowing your location and keeping this quiet." Clary lies through her teeth.
But, as it seems, Raziel believed her.
"Very well, follow me."
"Wait!" Clary shouted while grabbing Raziel's wrist. "What?" Raziel grits out.
"What are you going to do to me?"
"What am I going to do to you, little girl?" he laughed out. "I am going to use you to get back up to the Heavens. To pay dear Michael a visit. But, unfortunately, you aren't going to be alive after the ritual. It's a shame, really, bec-" Raziel couldn't finish because Magnus had already intervened.
He was held in a tight grip, with nowhere to go.
"Magnus intervened a little too quickly, but oh well, I'm going to have to do with the info I already got from you," Clary said.
She grabbed her stele and drew a special rune on Raziel. Seconds later he began to glow an ominous red.
"Clary, what's happening?" Jace screamed over the heavy wind that suddenly filled the warehouse.
Clary threw an uncertain and panicked look at Jace.
"I don't know!"
A dangerous chuckle filled the room, and they all knew from who that was coming.
Raziel.
"It seems that your plan has backfired on you and your friendclub." His voice was deeper, scarier. And intimidate the gang, it did.
The warehouse was now fillled with the deep red light that seemed to seep out of Raziel. The strong winds blew the Shadowhunters almost off of their feet.
"You thought that you could defeat ME! I am undefeatable! Spiritfoots! Arise!" His hands were raised at his side and thousands of pink, scarred Spiritfoots were snarling at them. The golden, glowing chains were prominent on their charred skin, their glow glaring at the group in front of them.
"Magnus! Make a portal!" Alec shouted over all of the disarray.
Just as the Spiritfoots were to attack, the group was gone with a 'woosh'.
