TRAY
I lay on the bed as the ceiling fan above blows and cools the room. The sun outside is going down and the sea is glittering red, purple and gold. Now that I'm showered and dressed, I don't feel tired anymore. I still hear the sounds of reggae bands warming up for the evening's entertainment.
Hal has been in the shower for the last one hour and I seriously don't know what the hell she's doing in there. The purpose for this trip is for my next mission. My next victim is here, in this very same island and I'm going to finish him off. Hal comes out of the shower, a white towel wrapped tightly around her body and another one on her head.
" I thought you left." She says and clasp the towel tightly.
I wish it falls.
" Will you stop staring at me." She says and grabs a small bag from her pile of clothes.
" I wasn't staring." I chuckle and watch as she dries her wet hair. " I'll be down at the restaurant." I tell her and turn the door knob.
" Oh! And wear those," I point the short denim shorts and lick my lips. " They make your ass look big." I add and jump out in time as the pillow Hal throws at me hits the door.

The bartender behind the counter is a big guy with a buzz cut and thick dark eyebrows." What can I get you? You got ID?"
" Chill out man, I'm twenty one." I flash out my ID and order a glass of cocktail. I look around the room, tourists are sitting at little tables, relaxed and happy. The reggae music that was playing when we arrived has been turned off so that the live performance can start soon. I can see a pair of guys with long dreadlocks hauling a steel drum in through the service door at the back of the bar.
" Here you go," the bartender says, bringing me my drink.
" Do a guy called Del come here often?" I ask and his dark eyebrows gather together like a pair of storm clouds.
" What are you? a cop or something?" He asks, his hands curling slowly into fists.
" Me? No, man. I'm not old enough. I hate cops." I fake a laugh.
" We don't talk about him here." I notice the muscles bulging out of his sleeves.
Maybe he is a bouncer.
I sip my drink which is a bright yellow and stand up. " Excuse me." I saunter away from him and head ouside the bar to the outdoor. It's a calm and beautiful evening, the stars are already coming out in bunches.
I don't understand why the bartender reacted that way. What did Del do? I have a lot of questions. From the pictures I have of Del, he's a young good looking guy but not that much, I mean, have you seen me? I'm a hot cake!
If anyone around this place knows him well, it would be the women, especially the young beautiful ones. I'm staring at two right now.
" Hello ladies," I say with a smooth voice and lift my cocktail, making a little toast. It sloshes out of the glass and splashes all over their shorts. They giggle, covering their mouths.
" Sorry about that, your beauty makes me nervous." They giggle much louder.
" Is this guy familiar?" I ask and show them the picture through my cellphone. They examine it for a while then shake their heads no.
" No? Okay that's fine." I drop it back in my jeans and walk back to the bar. It's really crowded right now. I weave through the people between me and the lobby, pass through the open door to the side hallway and walk up the stairs.
