Five days.

Five days since the ugly argument Tray and I had. Five days full of tears, red eyes and lies. Yes i regret what I told him. But i also hate him for saying those hurtful words to me. What makes him think I'll get back with Dave? I was shocked too. Shocked to hear him confess his true feelings for me.

But then again i'm happy, happy that he loves me.

Dad is getting discharged today. I've done all the payments required and even planned a surprise party for him with the help of Polly, Ken and Gabby of course.

" Hurry up dad. It's going to rain soon." I shout and bite the green apple on my hand.

" Yes ma'am." I hear him chuckle inside the bathroom. "I'm getting my shoes on."

"Finally..." I smile a wide smile as he steps out of the door. He still has a small bandage wrapped around his head.

"Come here." He says and opens his arms wide. I run over and hug him tight.

"I love you daddy."

He kisses my hair, "I love you too Bubble gum."

"Bubble gum?" I ask and look up at his face.

" Yes, you are my bubble gum." He says and playfully pinch my cheeks.

The drive is silent and peaceful. I keep glancing at my phone every two seconds just incase Tray decides to text or call or anything. Dad has asked about him and I've lied that he's out of town.

The yellow cab comes to a halt and we get out. It's now dark due to the strom approaching. I carefully help him up the steps when....."SURPRISE!!!!!!"
Everyone cheers and claps as i open the door.

"Welcome home." They say in unison as they hug dad one by one. The smile on Dad's face is priceless. I wish it stays there forever.

"We're heading over to the park, wanna join us Hal?" Ken says and slides his chocolate cupcake on his plate.

"Uh no no. You guys just go, i can't leave dad alone."

"No. Go hang out with your friends Hal, I'm fine by myself." Dad says and sticks his thumb out.

I laugh.

"Are you sure? I'm still afraid you know."

"No, it's fine. Go get ready or I'll kick you out." He says as i run to grab a sweater and my purse.

Minutes later, we're paying the tickets and ushered inside the park. The lights are on and its beautiful, breathtaking. It's packed with teens and a few kids running here and there. Ken and Gabby walk over to get some ice cream and play how couples "play" while Polly and I stroll slowly taking pictures.

"Here. Take a picture of me right here." I tell Polly and pose for the picture. She aims her small camera on me when she says "Oh-Oh". I follow her gaze and spot someone i would never have expected to see in a freaking park.

Tray.

And he isn't alone. He's with hat same girl I met a few days ago in his room, the one with the curly hair. She's clinging to his side desperately, whispering something to his ear.

I grit my teeth in annoyance.

Why does she have to glue herself onto him?

What are they even doing here?

I quickly grab Polly's hand and drag her to a different direction, away from them.

I feel Tray's eyes burying holes behind me but i don't look back.

"I want to win that pink teddy bear at that booth." Polly shouts and jumps around excitedly. I laugh as she pulls me along. We walk a few steps and she quickly pays before she's instructed on what to do to win the biggest prize.

She's given a bow and three arrows. She has to aim at least one arrow at the center of the yellow circle.

"Good luck." I tell her as she places the first arrow on the bow. As expected, she misses the circle, tries again but still misses it. I laugh because it's funny how she keeps missing such a simple task.

"Here." She hands me the bow and the last arrow. "Since you keep on laughing at me, show me what you got."

I place the arrow on the bow and aim it. I'm counting one to three when suddenly an arm winds around my waist. I gasp at the contact and I'm about to turn and slap whoever it is when his scent invades my nostrils.

"That's not how you do it baby." The voice whispers in my ear and i freeze.

Tray.
